| Oh, I love the idea of Aidan Quinn as Langdon! But as for Sophie, isn't she French? I'd love if they had a French actress play her. Maybe Audrey Tatou could try to improve her English, then take the role. | Sophie Marceau would be great Done with Angels and Demons. Also a brilliant book, but I must confess, I like The Da Vince Code better __________________ Every song ends, but that's no reason not to enjoy the music. | |||

| I went to get The Davinci code today and they had sold out everywhere in town, and of all Dan Brown's other books as well. __________________ I may return, it depends where I end up first. | |||

| I put it on hold at my library, but some moron that has it checked out right now hasn't returned it yet, and I'm sure it's going to take forever before it gets in my hands. | |||

| I'd also suggest Deception Point and Digital Fortress, his earlier works, if you like Dan Brown. Perhaps you can find copies of those faster? | Sophie Marceau would be a good choice. I guess I recalled something about Sophie being French but having studied in London so she had more of a British accent . . . or something like that. I can't recall exactly, I've only read the book once which I borrowed from the library. I need my own copy, dammit! | I just finished reading this Wasn't it amazing? I just couldn't believe that it was all true (I'm not a big believer of conspiracy theories) so I jumped on the internet and started researching Found some freaky stuff too Shaz __________________ So long, and thanks for all the fish | |||

| Sophie M. actually has a "french" accent or can affect one pretty well (watch her in the James Bond film she was in). I think she'd be really great in the part. It's interesting to see the fervor over this one book. It really catapulted Dan Brown into literary superstardom. Currently all his books are on amazon's list, and there's tons of interest in Mary Magdalene now. There's also a resurgence of interest in Holy Blood Holy Grail, the book that first brought forth such theories - it's pretty high on the amazon list as well. It's just interesting to see what fervor this has caused (not to mention a movie deal - which I HOPE will do justice to these great historical mysteries.) | Although strangely enough, I can ALMOST see Monica Bellucci in the role of Sophie...but not. She's Italian, but she has a French husband? I'm still musing as to whether Emmanuelle Beart would be good in the role as well... | Awesome there is a thread for this book. I read this book in school around october- it was really fantastic I loved it. The fact that it was controversial made it even better to me. A lot of people in my class gave up on it simply because they were offended because it questioned their faith. I'd have to say they missed out. This book was awesome and I think it showed both sides of the story. Teabing was my favourite character. He was so funny to me for some reason. And I really hope this gets turned into a movie. I agree that Sophie M. would be a good choice for Sophie. I could see Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale or maybe even Michael Vartan as Robert Langdon. | |||

| I enjoyed the book, but I don't think its as good as its made out. A lot of the "facts" in the book are questionable. While its a novel, Dan Brown has tried to say its based heavily on fact. My biggest issue was with having an "expert in the field" say that "Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married, that's a historical fact". I've had a LOT of people tell me that since, and while I agree its a possibilty, to say its FACT is another thing. The other problem I had was, after reading Angels and Demons, I felt like I'd just read "The DaVinci Code" just not as well written. Obviously the main character is the same, but it has him involved with a women that seems to be significantly younger then him, against the Catholic Church, trying to find some big secret. Once again, the Church appears to be the big bad evil! but its not! Its someone else! I also found the name "Teabing" a horrible, horrible name. __________________ Is this because I'm a lesbian? | |||

| great book. It kept me on my toes so much...and the best part was that I couldn't just read all the way through. I had to reflect on it every few chapters and that rarely happens with me and books. I usually just race through them like a speed demon. __________________ Courage is a word of justice.
