supergirlhero - :: laughs :: You read fast, like I do! I don't know too many people who can do that, so it's nice to see that someone else reads as quickly as I do. I have a horrible tendency to get weird looks when I tell people that it takes me about 4 hours of non-stop reading to read a 1000 pg book.

I'm just waiting to see the movie version of The DaVinci Code, now, and also Dan Brown's new book, whenever that comes out.

Yeah, people do give me strange looks and call me a freak...well, only my friends can get away with that without getting their chops busted anyway. The ability came in handy during college with the tons of readings, and now with law school and my work.

I would love to see how they'd be able to pull it off, a movie version I mean.

Oh, I hear you. I'm in University too, and I am getting the same luck - it's awesome.

The movie version WOULD be interesting - I'd love to see who they'd cast.

I ran out of books to read during vacation so I bought it at Gatwick Airport and finished it by the time our flight got into New York I love the religious theories that are in it, reminds me of Stigmata in that sense I'm looking forward to reading Angels and Demons as well and I hope he keep writing these awesome books.

Yeah. One uncle is a priest. He's based in Washington DC now. The other is a numerary. Two aunts are supernumeraries. And I graduated from a university which was handled by the prelature Good international university though.

I heard someone at my college say that they're thinking of possibly adding this book to lists of reading material for various classes.

I thought this book was amazing. It definitely has made me look at Da Vinci's paintings in a whole new light. I started it one night, saying I was going to read just a couple of chapters. But then, I couldn't put it down. By the time I finally went to bed, I was halfway through.

I didn't know he had written any other books. I bought Angels and Demons on a whim and it's one the best suspenses I've read. Ir's one of the only book I couldn't put down the whole way through.

Yes, he's written three other books besides Angels and Demons:

Obviously, the DaVinci Code
Deception Point
Digital Fortress

They're all fantastic...

I loved this book. Such a wonderful mixture of mystery, suspense, art, religion, and history. The descriptions of the Louvre were amazing, especially the room that houses the Mona Lisa. I can't wait to see how the movie version turns out!

Just bought the small paperback copy of Angels and Demons over the weekend. Breezing thru it is on hold though. Still have my last final exam tomorrow. After that, no putting it down till I'm done

I read this one over the summer. It only took me a few hrs of straight reading for about 3 nights one week to make it through the whole book. I think by the time you hit the 1/3rd of the way through you want to keep reading (or at least that is how it was for me).

I was an art history major so this book was suggested to me since I had just graduated college and was looking to "read" something (you know how you have no time to read for fun when in college.... or at least my life didn't allow for it for the 4 yrs).

For me I could have lived without the parts with the in depth religious rituals, but they were needed in this story. I think that was possibly the only thing that didn't thrill me about the book. The rest of it was a fun read and interesting as far as the art information.

alright enough from me.

I am so psyched that Ron Howard is going to be directing the film version. Any thoughts on who should play the main characters? I'm seeing Aidan Quinn as Langdon and either Kate Winslet or Julianne Moore as Sophie.
