They are very different from what I'm used to. I read them because they were reccomended to me, and surprisingly I found myself liking them.
Looking forward to see how the trilogy ends. |

I don't think its that surprising, they have angels and demons but I do think Taylor pulls that off much better than most other books I've read with them.
I also love the way she writes, its very evocative. |

Yeah. true. So it does have paranormal, but I feel its also a touch of fantasy.

The first was kind of two books, one of which was straight fantasy. But I'd say the second was a blend throughout which I enjoyed better.

I love this series so much.
It's such a masterpiece. Lani is truly talented.. she has an amazing way with words. I'd say the first one was Urban Fantasy/Paranormal and the second had a very fantasy/High fantasy feel to it but I loved them both so much, especially the second. I can't wait to see how the series is going to wrap up, and I have no doubt it will be fantastic. __________________

Well with the first I'd say it was fantasy with Madrigal, so in the second it was blended more and never quite reached high fantasy.
I do agree about Taylor's writing, though!  |
