Clue books - Can you solve the mystery?

Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Reginald Boddy, and I'm your host for this weekend.

Ok, ok. So I'm not Mr. Boddy. But does anyone remember these books? I have the first 5 books, and they are getting pretty worn. I just love them.

I loved how we got to solve the mystery ourselves, how sometimes the mysteries would tie in with each other, the subtle older humor, and the plain cheesy humor they had.

Anyone else love these books?

Oh, I used to get those at the library. I even had a little notepad where I'd take down notes and stuff so I could figure it out... yeah, I know. Dork.

I liked them! But I never bothered to solve the mysteries. I just went to read the solutions cuz they were so entertaining. But it's funny how he always died in the end and got revived again. Kind of makes you wonder why he'd keep inviting all of them back to his house

I know. But he's just such a trusting soul.

I only have the first six, but I really want to find the rest of the series. I looked on Ebay last night (what a dork I am) and found only a few. Mostly Nancy Drew, which I never read. Ah well.

I just loved how witty the books are. They crack me up. You know it's a good series when you can be obsessed with them, lose them, then suddenly regain them and be obsessed again. (I loaned them to my brother and didn't get them back for years *rolls eyes*)

I loved reading those books. Not sure I ever solved the mystery but I sure had fun trying. I think I read Clue Kids also but I'm not sure I may have dreamed that up.

You know, I didn't even know there were Clue Jr. books until recently. Are they easier mysteries or something?

I never really tried that hard to figure out the crimes. I would think on it for a few minutes, then give up and read the answer cause I was so eager to get to the next scenario.

Clue Jr. was for younger kids to read so the whole book was easier and the mysterys where different. It was like someone's cat was missing or who ate the cookie, stuff like that.

I used to read them. I would read all of the mysteries, but I picked and chose which ones I wanted to try and solve. My favorite thing about them was the characters though, because they were all amusing in a cheesy way. I still have a few of the books scattered around my house, and every once in a while I'll come across one and read through it again.

I know I'm bumping this up a lot, but I just had to reply.

Even at 19, I still love reading a Clue book every once and a while. My sister had the first 8 or so, and we've been looking for the rest.

They have lots of them on ebay, but with the shipping costs.. it might get expensive.
