Books - Christine Feehan ~ Can you love a Carpathian?

I didn't see a thread for this author anywhere or on any lists.

Christine Feehan...author of the Dark series...
There are somewhere around 20 books written on the sexy Carpathians that protect humans from vampires and a secret society out to kill all that they view as vampires, along with keeping their existance unknown with the exception of a few worthy humans. The males seek out their Lifemates so that they could feel emotions and see in color once more, but only special human woman can be converted. Those with strong psychic abilities (and should I mention stubborn personalities too?

)

I just recently found this series and have become addicted to them. I'm about half way through the list and love how many of the different characters are linked, showing up in other books. It's so easy to get dragged into this world. I honestly can't pick a favorite character.

Anyone else read them?

I've read two of them and one was okay, but I hated the rapist hero in the other one.

Soz, I know exactly which book you are refering to and I hate that character also.

I've read about 6 or 7 of these books and they are OK although repetitive. Some stories are much better than others. I discovered Feehan when she was still writing for Dorchesterpub and her series was little known and priced low. Unfortunately I've had to drop her from my buying list because of Penguin. I object to Penguin publishing her newer books in that "Penguin Premium" oversized mass market paperback format. I used to be able to buy her books for $7.99 Cdn and now they are a whopping $13.50! Yes, it's cheaper than a TPB but I just can't justify the price.

for a paperback? Wow! I can't imagine paying that price.

I obviously haven't read that one book yet

and makes me wonder if I want to.
