| A Child Called It What did you think of this sad, sad book. I wanted to create a post for anyone who has read it. I wanted to have a little discussion on the book so somebody start by telling everyone what they thought was the most important part of the book. __________________ Manny: I'm getting an abortion Emma: You can't Manny: Look, I know you think it's wrong Emma: And your child would too Manny: I'm just trying to do the right thing here. | it was a great book, i read it for school, and i thought it was really touching especially for the fact that it took place right near my house. I have read the other two books and they are also great and heart renching. He was also on Oprah talking about his story. I would tell everyone to read this book. __________________ Liz | |||

| I haven't read this, but my sister read this book a couple of years ago. It was really sad. He was on Oprah talking about it and it kind of made me cry. Does he have any new memoirs in the works? __________________ I know I can't expect the world to move underneath me, but for god's sake, could you try? lex/lana("I did it for you") felicity/noel("you're my first boyfriend") trey/alex(mixing business with pleasure) seth/chloe(every superhero needs a lois lane) | |||

| He wrote two other books that followed a A Child Call It, and the last one deals with him growing up and him older and how he reconnects with people from his family. __________________ Liz | |||

| I read this last year when I was writing a research paper on child abuse. It was a bit too real for me, which I guess could be seen as a good thing. It's a very good book for first-hand knowledge about child abuse, but I don't think I could handle reading it again. __________________ + Susan "Everything I've touched has been diminished." | |||

Especially since it was real life. __________________ "...but I still like to think there is something about Pacey and me that no one can ever quite touch." | |||

| i did read this book. Last year when i went through what i now call my "depressing, sad books". This was on of them.I think i cried about ever 10 pages. It's beautifully written though and i can say i did love reading this book even though sometimes i felt i had to put it down and go back to it later. I finished it in a week cause it was just hard to read at some parts but just so good. My friend read every book of this collection. I didn't. I have been meaning too. Are the rest good? __________________ It's only after we've lost everything, that we're free to do anything.- fight club avie by Mel X | |||

| "The Lost Boy" is good. "A Man Called Dave" seems to me to get preachy. __________________ "When the wolves come out of the walls, it's all over." "What's all over?" "It." | |||

| Great Book! Hey ! I did read this book and it was really sad. The mother was horrible. I only read the first part, A Child Called It. So what happens to his mother later on? I always wanted to know. Does he still have a relationship with his family now? I will try to get a hold of those books soon. ^Jeanie __________________ - To see the Rainbow you have to wait for the Rain - | |||
