Steampunk books


I thought since Steampunk has been coming more into the mainstream we could use a steampunk thread. So for those of you who don't know what steampunk is here is a defination.

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.[1] Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually Victorian era Britain or "Wild West"-era United States—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology, or futuristic innovations as Victorians might have envisioned them, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc.

Thanks for starting, Pam. I am getting into this genre lately. I think it's something different.

I have read 5 books from that book, and I want to buy Dearly, Departed.

I don't think the #s are necessary for the books, also series should maybe be listed as such and not individually?

I think separating the books by age group may be good and by condensing series books together

I cleaned it up some the only two I wasn't sure on were The Native Star Series and the Burton & Swinburne series' I put them both in adult because there was nothing about young adult listed for them, but if they aren't right just let me know.
