I prefer British classics to American.

I love all Austen's work. I've read them all and I can read they again and again.

I like the Bronte sisters.

I love David Copperfield but I tried Nicholas Nickelby and found myself skipping pages.

Yep, they're making one and Ben Barnes (aka Prince Caspian) is playing our beloved Dorian. Rachel Hurd-Wood (aka Wendy from Peter Pan) will play Sybil Vane and Colin Firth (aka Mr. Darcy) will play Lord Henry.

I haven't read this one yet, but I have a collection of A Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, and Great Expectations and I'd really like tor read all of them. I went to London about a year ago and one of the classes that I took when I was there (because it was a study abroad program) was a literature class on Charles Dickens. It was fascinating because we didn't just read his works, we actually got to travel around London and see some of his stomping grounds. It was quite a lot of fun. But, anyway, we read bits and pieces of A Tale of Two Cities and I liked what I read.

Yeah, I've read Great Expectations, though it was several years ago, and I started working on David Copperfield but that's a beast of a book so I didn't finish it. But A Tale of Two Cities might be the next one I tackle.

British classics are almost all I read in my late childhood and teens. Especially loved Brontes and Dickens. Glad I stopped reading so narrowly, but I miss them and need to read and reread some.

I'll admit I have never read Jane Eyre. I'll have to put it on my list. I think I have seen a movie once.

I have to dig up my British classics. I started reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens once but never finished it

Which Jane Eyre film did you see?

I really loved the 2011 version with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender in the lead roles.
