he was definitely more mature in the sense that he was less self-centered about his feelings for bella and the cullens!! but his outlook in general is still immature compared to edward and bella IMO, but i don't mean that in a bad way

like the chapter titles in his "book" so from the perspective of a "high schooler"

but i liked it, i thought it fit his personality and also gave a lot of humor. i laughed out loud quite a bit! especially in the beginning!

I finally read it, and I really enjoyed it-

I was sort of surprised by the direction she took it
and the Joseph imprinting on Renesmee was kind of creepy.
But, I liked that Bella finally came into her own, and that Edward and Bella were more passionate about each other than ever! This love story was really what it was all about for me!

And DON'T YA JUST LOVE ALICE!!
I'd love her to write the WHOLE Alice/Jasper story!

jacob's chapter titles cracked me up... it was so jacob!

I found I was very good at predicting what direction SM would take the story. As soon as Bella found out she was pregnant I told my husband that Jacob would imprint on the baby. I just had a feeling.

The passion between Edward and Bella was so so perfect

It made the book just wonderful for me. I want to dig back in and enjoy it all over again. I am an Edward/Bella girl to my core. Their love is so timeless and deep and I think SM gave us a really good glimpse, more so than in other books, of the depth and bond that exists between them. I loved all the details where he touched her this way or looked or what not, how proud he was of her.

My God there is so much I want to talk about. I absolutely loved it!

i didn't realize about the imprint until right before it was said!

my friend didn't even realize that jacob had imprinted on her.

i reread it a few times, just to make sure what i thought had happened, had actually happened.

i know people said that bella's change of attitude was too fast, but i'm pretty sure when you find out you're pregnant for the first time.. you grow up pretty fast. that's just what i think though.

I think that Bella never even considered being able to have Edward's child but after realizing she was pregnant and feeling the baby move so quickly due to the accelerated growth made her realize it was something she wanted without ever knowing it.

And Val we should continue to post after one another. It looks like Edward is staring at Bella

you're right sher.. that's exactly what she said too.. she didn't realize that she would like being married until after she already was.. and she didn't realize that she actually wanted a baby, until one was already on the way.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought it was creepy. I love Jacob but it's a weird situation.
I can't believe that it's over though. I want more. What about poor Leah? I feel so bad for her.
It would be great if she told Nessie's story. Maybe she'd chose that other half vampire over Jacob. Imprinting might not be as strong for vamps.

I thought it was creepier when Quil imprinted on Claire but maybe because we don't know Quil's character as well. I know Jacob so well. I know he's not creepy in the least and also I think I understood the role of the shape shifter in the the imprintee's life much better after seeing Quil with Claire at the beach and knowing that Bella and Edward would never permit any creepiness with Renesmee, particularly since he can read every thought in Jacob's mind.

I did too Val. It's exactly a mother's reaction! I was amused by Edward's reaction too. It's too bad SM didn't write in his initial reaction. We only got to see his tempered reaction when he relates it to Bella. I'd have loved to see his fatherly response!!!! There is nothing sexier than an already sexy guy wrapped around his daughter's finger

In my head I imagined Bella chasing Jacob down, Jacob looking back over his shoulder trying to remind her that she understands if she just thinks about it while trying to avoid her wrath. I saw Bella fighting with herself thinking "I wouldn't miss him that much if I took his head off"

i'm glad he wasn't. and you know that SM could take the "series" in that direction if she wants to.

i saw the pregnancy coming, and the fact that it wouldn't be a normal baby, but i guess those two things aren't too hard to figure out!!!!

and the rest of the cullens and the hales FTW! although Rose was horrid in this book. i didn't appreciate how everyone let her off the hook so easily. her attitude toward bella was too negative for SM to have glossed over it as she did.........but then again babies tend to do that

but seriously, SM should have at least had something where she either apologized or where her siblings realize they mistook her behavior.

now was it me, but hadn't i heard they we were going to get more of their backgrounds in this book (the cullens). i don't feel that we did. although we got a lot more volturi/general vampire "history."

and i read on PH of all places that in december there will be some kind of "authoritative guide" published for the series. it sounds interesting.

I was frightened of Rose. I found it painful to realize that she didn't care about Bella's life, only the life of the baby. I wondered how Edward didn't just tear her limb from limb. I wanted to! I suppose the rest of the Cullen family have known Rosalie so long that they understand her inside out while the rest of us know very little of her. That would make it easier to forgive her I suppose.

I understand that not everyone likes a book but I'm more surprised by people who normally like the series that didn't like the book. I swear SM climbed into my head and wrote the book for me

All lose ends tied up. All questions answered. Unbelieveably blissful passionate unending love for eternity. I couldn't have asked for more!

While the story line may have tended towards predicatablity in order to tie up lose ends, the details of the story were anything but predictable. For instance the pain Bella experienced during her pregnancy with the broken bones and bruising. When it was suggested the baby would chew it's way out I was horrified. Who could have predicted that? Or the baby's growth rate? I was shocked and frightened by it, worried it might prematurely end her life.

I don't know why but I knew Jacob would be ok and I was equally sure he'd imprint and find his true love before the series ended since it couldn't be with Bella, not for me anyway

I missed not learning more background on the Cullens too. I find them fascinating. I'd love to know more about Carlisle and Esme, although Jasper's background is frightening! Finding out about the backstory of Alice's human life, her time in the assylum would have been fascinating! When she left I wondered if she would go to her human relatives. Also I'd love to peek inside the quiet love of Jasper and Alice. I think I could love them almost as much as I love Edward and Bella.

Did anyone else find the relationship between Rose and Emmett weird? When Edward described their physical relationship and the jokes Emmett made about how many houses they flattened...I had trouble reconciling Rose's coldness with that kind of passion.

Jule might be coming? I miss you guys so much. RL has been so of the suck this summer. I am not just out of the loop but out of the solar system of the loop. I can't wait to catch up with her. I've been so enjoying our chats over the book Betty

sher.. if you had a guy like emmett.. you'd flatten houses too!

i thought emmett making fun of bella and edward's sex life was hilarious!! and then bella beating him in arm wrestling just to make him stop...

i swear i thought rosalie was going to go "hand that rocks the cradle" on bella and the baby. that's what i was worried about. and i know they were all worried that bella wasn't in control of herself.. but how come rose was always the one holding nessie.. why not esme.. isn't she the most loving??

and the cullens' backgrounds!?! i wanted that so bad, also!! and we got hardly any..

i still loved the story.. loose ends all tied up.. except for renee.. i wondered how they'd explain things away to her.

and did i get that straight.. charlie got with sue clearwater at the end??
