Any other fans out there?

I tend to be pretty picky about what books I buy, but so far all of his books (perhaps, with the only exclusion being the YA series - Alcatraz) are on that list if I haven't all ready purchased them

And I'm really excited for his new series coming out

I've never read any of his books, and to be honest, had never heard of him until he took over the helm of the Wheel of Time series, but I'd like to read some of his books and I've heard good things about him. It's all just getting around to it and getting my hands on a copy.

For me, I'd read The Wheel of Time because he took over

The Mistborn trilogy is phenomenal, but really I'd recommend any of his fantasy stuff

I'll probably try the Mistborn trilogy first because it's what I've heard most about.

I found a box set of the Mistborn trilogy today which is awesome because the last time I went to the bookstore they didn't have any of his books. I'm currently reading a couple other things but as soon as I finish them, I'll start on Mistborn.

Is it the paperback versions? (I really dislike their covers! )

Anyway, I think you'll like them, or at least I'd hope so

I was actually amazed that I loved every aspect of his writing initially, like the political games among other stuff

Yeah, it's the paperback.

That's the cover for the first one, so I don't know if that's what you're talking about. I saw an original cover and I didn't like it as much as this one so I assume the edition I got is a reprint of the original with a different cover. I'm looking forward to reading them, though.

I only like the hardback covers and so had to buy those versions
Though, that one isn't too bad, but the two after it hurt my eyes

I'm amused that they use different quotes from Robin Hobb on the different covers

Or just a shortened version I think the longer one is better, as I'd expect a bit more than just two words

I haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been so busy and at the end of last year I applied for Graduate School so I basically didn't read for a month because I was doing research and writing submission essays and things like that. I'm really planning on doing a lot of reading this year so hopefully I'll get around to them sometime soon.

I'm halfway through the first Mistborn now and must say I'm completely blown away by the magic system. It's so interesting and original that for once I love reading about fights in great detail.

Love how we get to read more about the Lord Ruler too at the end of each chapter. Can't wait to read what happens next (what am I even doing online? Should turn of the comp and continue )
