I don't think I've read a book like that, but certainly seen enough movies/tv shows that fit that.

I've never been interested in reading him. I've seen one or two of the movies, which I've been told are completely different from the books.

I've read Under The Dome and watch the TV series, and yeah that's different. I have heard they're rebooting IT, in a way that's very much loyal to the book.
