Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold (but there's a neat catch)

I'll add in .. since it's getting so much press so not really a spoiler in itself anymore .. just the who .. not that it happens.

Little Women has two Margarets (Marmee and Meg) to pick from

In Gregory Maguire's Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister Margarethe is the step-mother.

If we agree that Meg is a nickname for Margeret, then Seven Spiders Spinning has a character named Meg Snoople.

Name 5 characters who do detective work/who are sleuths but have professions outside that field. Does that make sense?

-Fatty from The Five Find Outers by Enid Blyton (a full-time school-boy and part time detective)

-Nancy Drew? Not sure, but I seem to remember that being a detective wasn't her main occupation. However, feel free to correct me.
