Same thing for me. Little Women is one of my favorite books of all time, I've read it at least a dozen times. And that scene gets me every time.

I was looking at my daughters books, and one of the books that made me cry the most was a Saddle Club book!!!!

The Notebook made me cry for hours. I can't believe no one mentioned The Time Traveler's Wife, it's so sad! Also, The Book Thief; that book is amazing!

The Lovely Bones- I cried so many times when I was reading this book! It's just a sad book all around, there are so many moments.

Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas- Sad, sad book! The character of Suzanne was nice, and I loved the story, it was just so sad.

The Lovely Bones was very, very sad - I cried quite a few times. There were so many different things going on, from Susie just watching the moments she misses with her family, to her father's constant vigilance regarding her rapist and murderer, to eventually people moving on. I teared up a lot while reading it.

Yes, exactly! That was what made me cry the most- the moments she was missing out on and kind of realizing she could never experience, and the father. The scene with the sailboats in the bottles really got me, and then when he goes into her room afterwards.

As mentioned above, Little Women gets me crying too. The Beth scenes in particular, although its been a while since I read it (certain parts of the book frustrate me at the end, so sometimes I wonder if its worth the trouble) but Beth was the biggest crying moment in the book.

It was really sad I cried during that book too

I don't cry about books (or movies, or TV for that matter) but I was very sad about the deaths in Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter)

Der Vorleser (The Reader) - Bernhard Schlink
Bilder von ihr - Karen Susan Fessel
Oscar et la dame rose (Oscar and the Lady in Pink) - Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt
Im Westen nichts Neues (All Quiet on the Western Front) - Erich Maria Remarque

Woah I'm a crybaby... but most of the time it depends on my general mood and on the music I'm listening to than on the book itself. The examples listed above are the ones that could make me cry, no matter what mood I'm in.
(and two of them were for school (Vorleser & Oscar) - thanks, aren't we students already depressed enough? ^^' )
