I just read Ten Little N1ggers recently and I LOVED it so I have been considering reading some more of Christie's works - which won't be too hard considering my mum seems to own all her books, except of course TLN which I had to go on a rabid hunt for

What best do you recommend?

My favorite fiction written by Agatha Christie is Death On The Nil. It is amazing.

Death on the Nile is terrific. I loved that one.

My favorite is "Murder on the Orient Express". A classic.

I do like Poirot better than Miss Marple.

I haven't read her books in years. I should though.

Ooooh! I borrowed And Then There Were None and it was one of the greatest books I've ever read. It was just totally mindblowing. I it. That and The Murder of Roger Ackroyrd. And Hercule Poirot's Christmas. She's just a fantastic writer. I haven't read a lot of her books, but the endings are usually very unexpected. It's cool. I haven't read a Miss Marple book yet. Haha. There just seems to be too many Hercule Poirot books around (not that that's a bad thing ) I saw TMORA in my school library yesterday and I was so happy. I was going round recommending it to all my friends

Agatha Christie rocks. Her plots are ingenious, and her characters are good. I especially love Hercule Poirot. The only problem is that her startings can be a bit slow. Other than that, when the plot really goes, you can't put it down. I love And Then There Were None!!!! It's one of her bests.

Let's see:
The mysterious affair at Styles: The first Poirot story and one of the bests It's about an old lady, Mrs Inglethorpe who has a young fiancé and one day she's found dead...really interesting

Curtain (Poirot's last case): the title says it all....Poirot dies in this one, but not before solving a mysery...not like the other books

And there are so many good ones, like:
Lord Edgware dies, Cat among the pigeons
And there is one I don't know the English title of: there is a young lady who wants to get married, but her finacé's family isn't keen on the idea because the girl's mother killed her husband, at least that's what everybody believes. And the young girl wants Poirot to prove her mother innocent...really great - my mother's favourite

Me too. I haven't read these in so long but at one point in my life I was a little obsessed; The Mysterious Affair at Styles and And then there were none are probably my favourites, along with the The ABC Murders I think it was called.

I had to read And Then There Were None for an elective English class I took last year. I really enjoyed it, and have put it in my immediate plans to read most of all her books. I have a problem with mysteries though; I am totally guilty of looking ahead to see who did it and thus ruin it for myself.

Any one else have this problem?

Sal you're the only one that refered to the book Ten Little ******s, which is actually And Then There were None (the original title). I know it because the title in French is the exact translation of Ten Little ******s, but I found out later that in English it was called And then There were None. It's funny that in Australia it's not the same title as anywhere else

Anyway, I loved And then There were None, best enigma ever!
The Crime in the Orient-Express is also my second favourite.

I've basically read all the books by Agatha Christie, she was my very first favourite author, and even now I'm still enjoy reading her stories. And Hercule Poirot rocks my socks!

you got censored too, Anne!

I think of the book as Ten Little...yes, them And the movie as And Then There Were None. I saw the film first and then read the book.

Yep, got censored

I still don't understand why you guys have a different title while you're also a English-speaking country.
Oh nevermind me, I just recalled that the first HP book had two different titles too.

I didn't know there was a movie adaptation of the book And Then There were None...

There was a movie? I totally want to watch it now. I think that everyone here loved And Then There Were None, right? And for good reason too I usually read the last page of any book, but I try my best not to for AC's books, though it's rather hard...I'm so glad I didn't read the back for ATTWN though. Like I said it was so fantastic and it would've been horrible if I'd known who'd did it.

Hi Just wanted to add my two sense. I've not read too many of her stories honestly, but the one I seem to love the most is The Mousetrap. I was on vacation as a 12 year old girl at the beach when it sucked me in. I was at the beach and what was I doing? Yep, hanging out in the hotel reading.

I've got about 10 of her books on my shelf that I need to read. I'll get around to it, then let ya know what I think.

~*Mandi*~ who loves a mystery.
