Got my January Owlcrate box today. Not really worth the long wait tbh..

I think I will cancel both Owlcrate and Illumicrate this year. I feel it is not worth it anymore and if I want the book I can order it online. And if Illumicrate has a special edition box I want I will just keep my fingers crossed that it won't be sold out during the pre sale.

There was two things that I will be using. A pin banner and a Letter Board Kit.

The other items was a Calender Tapestry which is following the moon's phases for this year. It is a cool item and a nice design but will be pretty useless next year. A bookmark with a great design but from a book I wasn't fan off. Then we got tea but I don't like tea so. Also the book is by an Author that I have read before but wasn't a huge fan off.

It does sound pretty, but yea, sadly after this year it's either toss it or try to do something else that's artsy with it.

Aww, too bad. That does sound like a nice thing to include.

It does become difficult to trust a book written by an author if another book written by the same person isn't so good.

Yeah, they are very handy. And I really needed a new pin banner because my older one is almost full. And the Letter Board Kit is something I have been thinking about to get.

The design is great on the tapestry , but when it is fabric it just makes me sad it will be useless next year.

Turned out it is from two books from the same author. The Song of Achilles & Circe by Madeline Miller.

Yeah, if you are a huge fan of tea, it is great to get it in a box. But then it is me who doesn't like it.


Yeah. I tried an older book by hers, but it didn't click with me. I think it was the writing style and the very long chapters that was the issue for me. So I'm bit nervous with the new book of hers.

Shame about Circe not being enjoyable. I think I had that on my list too because people said it was good.

Got an e-mail from Owlcrate that they'll be raising their prices. It already was barely worth it anymore. Now? I think i'll check every month if I want it or not.
