Authors who write under different names

I thought that the thread must be back, cause I think its very interesting and I want to know if you knew authors that wirte under different names. So feel free to post...

I can give a Europan example. In france a lawyer came with a manuscript to a publishing company, but no one knew who worte the book. It was printed in France, its already printed in Germany and the gave the bookwirter a pseudonym "Chimo", there are a lot of disscusion who might have written these book, till today nobody knows!

That's funny!

I know Nora Roberts writes under JD Robb, but that's because the JD Robb bit is for a separate series.

Well, VC Andrews died and now there's a ghostwriter (Andrew Neiderman, who wrote books such as The Devil's Advocate) writing under her pen name as well as his own name.

Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Rover Boys, Bobbsey Twins, and a whole slew more were created by Edward Stratemeyer and continued under the Stratemeyer Syndicate after his death. I think his daughter wrote Nancy Drew for a while. Nancy Drew was one of the last projects created by the original dude.

When Stephen King wrote under the pen name Richard Bachman, his books were just as good as under his real name. As a matter of fact, with the exception of The Running Man, his stories were a lot like those written under Stephen King. And as a reply to the comment about V.C. Andrews, isn't it convenient that she died, as most pseudonyms tend to do, but dozens of books by her "family" are still being published with her name as author?

Sophie Kinsella used to write as Madeleine Wickman
Meg Cabot also writes under a few other names. One is Meggin Cabot and there's another one she used but I can't remember what it is.
