I just finished my first book for 2008. Yes, I know it's not 2008 but my goal is to read 25,000 pages so I'm giving myself some wiggle room. I just finished New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. So I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come and I'll keep up my pace.

One final book for my 2007 list:

61. Pretending You Care: The Retail Employee Handbook by Norm Feuti (298)

And with that, my totals for 2007:

2007 Book Goal: 50 books
Books Read in 2007: 61 books
2007 Page Goal: 20,000 pages
Pages Read in 2007: 19,577 pages

I'm kind of bummed that I didn't make my page goal - I was so close! Only 423 pages short! If I'd only finished 1-2 more books. Oh well. Anyway, I think 50 books/20,000 pages is going to be my goal again for 2008, and hopefully I'll be able to get to 20,000 this time. Bring on the new year.

Well, I lost track of my reading but I don't think I made 50 books in 2007. How rubbish! Oh well, I have a renewed determination for 2008

Okay, so...

I know it's the 50 books challenge, but for starters my personal goal is 25 books and 8000 pages

We'll see how far I'll come

Excited!

I will have to finish Divine Blood (which may be the first book on my list even though I started in 2007... but I'll read most of it and finish it in 2008, so... ) and then I'll finally read my second Patterson book

I made my 50 books, finishing Extras by Scott Westerfeld last Monday night.

I don't have a page goal for 2008 but there will be some books I won't count towards the 50 goal - like harlequin romances or rereads - so I think the count would be pretty high...

I've already started my first (two) books for 2008. Seems like a good year so far

I seriously don't know how you go through books so quickly! How do you get the time? I usually get through about 5 books a year. I go really slow. I like to soak it all in y'know, take my time. I suppose everyone enjoys books differently.

Since i went to University though in Sept 07 i've barely read much. It's just difficult at Uni to get quiet time with mates all around you.

I should be studying too instead of reading. Feel quite guilty... I just "stole" the time to read these two books.
That's why I aimed for 25... don't think I will be able to read much else in the next few month... well, apart from uni-stuff. But some of it might actually find its way on this list

The first year I did this, I didn't reread anything b/c I wanted to try new things and expand. But for 2007, I relaxed that standard. I counted rereads.

60. In The Merde For Love - Stephen Clarke
61. How I Write - Janet Evanovich and Ina Yalof
62. Jemima J - Jane Green
63. On Writing - Stephen King
64. Veronika Decides To Die - Paulo Coelho
65. Any Place I Hang My Hat - Susan Isaacs
66. Love: A User's Guide - Clare Naylor
67. The Dive From Clausen's Pier - Ann Packer
68. I Am America (And So Can You!) - Stephen Colbert
69. frenemies - Megan Crane
Total pages: 22, 193

It's hard to find reading time when you're in school. I hardly ever read books unless they were assigned to me back then.

I actually stopped watching a lot of TV. That left more time for reading. Also I read some fluff books. Stuff like chick lit takes only a few hours to read.
