2013 Reading Goals!

2013 Reading Goals

New year, new goals!

This thread should feature the goals you'll be making for the year and then we can all see how we did this time next year. Not to be confused with the Book Challenge, which is specifically the amount of reads this challenge is far more broad.

Please feel free to make any goal you'd like!

It can be specific books that you'd like to get to this year, or maybe certain genres that you've been neglecting.

Try not to change your original goals too much (ie. editing) that kind of defeats the purpose.

I don't have a necessary list of specific books but authors I look for with new releases, like Kate Morton's new release, The Secret Keeper.

I would like to re-read some select books:

Full Tolkien re-read. (The Simarillion, Children of the Hurin, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings)

Selected Stephen King re-reads. (Under the Dome, Cell, IT)

Hen some unconventional reads. The classics mixed with mummies, zombies etc..

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Dawn of the Dreadfuls
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Sense and Sensibilitymand Seamonsters
Android Karenina

You're certainly free to.
Adding to the goals is better than taking away

My list right now is to finish the hunger games reread I've started (I keep getting distracted)

I'd also like to reread the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and possibly reread the Harry Potter series. Also gotta add The House of Hades and whatever the next Skulduggery Pleasant book is called.

Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir and Carrie By Stephen King

I'm going to be so busy doing lots of reading for my MFA in writing degree, I probably won't have much time for pleasure reads, though I'll keep my subscription to Entertainment Weekly & download new books for my Kindle.

There's always a surprising new release that tends to sometimes bump one of my goals, but like you mentioned Tomorrow's Skies, it's better to add to the list than to remove!

Oh, I need to add the next Percy Jackson novel when it comes out and hopefully the next Skullduggery Pleasant novel that comes out this year.

Maybe it's just me, but I like to see it all together
