QUESTION OF THE DAY.

So this is very much like the hot-seat, however it goes a lot quicker, and everyone can respond.

So here's how it works, every day a question will be asked. Anyone can ask a question, but please one question a day. Then everyone answers that question. I'll start.....

Don Quixote by Cervantes.

It's beautifully written. It's funny. It's broken up into small adventures, each one a bit different. The first act is about Don Quixote trying to escape reality by fantasizing himself as a knight. In the first book he is seen as crazy by the people he encountered. In the sequel written ten years later (often sold in conjunction with the first volume) everyone has 'read' the first book and they treat him as someone famous. A lot of the behavior is recognizable even today.

That's my 'favorite' book that makes me seem smart.

My other fave is Bridget Jones's Diary. It's just so lighthearted and fun. The popularity of chick lit is largely due to BJD's success.

My favourite books are mostly anything by Nicci French. Secret Smile in particulary

they're all thrillers, and they're just so well written and compeltely draw you in, I really can't put them down once I start reading.

And I have a soft spot for Twilight
