I would recommend different shows to different people, but the standbys would be Farscape, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Battlestar Galactica

I do! But I honestly haven't seen very many. I don't seem to seek out sci-fi movies like I do TV shows.

BTW, if you like scifi and Buffy, I highly recommend Firefly (TV series) and Serenity (movie), if you haven't seen them already. Watch Firefly first, then the movie.

Favorite place that you have traveled to or vacationed at?
China! I've been twice. I lived in Tianjin for one semester while I was in college, and then I spent the year after I graduated in Harbin. It's a truly bizarre place, but I love it.

Place you'd most like to visit?
India. I think I am going to have the chance soon!

Favorite scifi movie:
I guess I'm not really sure if this counts as scifi, but one of my all-time favorites is Back to the Future.

What other kind of movies do you enjoy:
Most kinds! I really love foreign films and most independent films, I love musicals, and I also adore well-made horror movies... but there aren't really too many of those, from what I've seen.

I love to sing, and dance, and I adore theatre. I also love video games and reading.

What are you studying (if a student) or what do you do for a living (if not a student)?
I majored in Chinese and minored in Theatre, and right now I am a substitute teacher but I have a job as a very low-level cruise director on a ship for Princess Cruises starting at the end of January!

I LOVE Firefly/Serenity. I'm not sure why I forgot to mention it while listing favorite sci-fi shows, it is basically perfect.

If you could have any animal you like for a pet, what would you have?
That's a really tough question! When I was little we used to go hiking a lot, and there's a local nature museum we used to stop at while hiking, and they had a small zoo out back and my brothers and I were obsessed with the otters. So if they were in any way domesticable, I would have to go with that. In terms of animals that people actually have as pets, I have always wanted a chinchilla.

Favorite place in the world:
I've traveled quite a bit, but my favorite place is probably Castle Island in South Boston, MA - we've always spent quite a bit of time there, from my childhood until now, and there's just something about it that I love.

Favorite flavor of ice cream:
Whenever I go out for ice cream, it's usually come sort of chocolate/peanut butter combination, but in terms of buying it at the store, it's a tie between Ben & Jerry's Phish Food, and then this local company's ice cream called Green Monster Mint Chocolate, named after the ballpark the Red Sox play at, and it's pretty glorious.


Do you have any siblings?
I do! Two brothers, both younger. They are respectively a junior and a sophomore in college.

Do you have any pets?
We have three dogs, they are mixes of maltese/toy poodle/lhasa apso. They are without a doubt the dumbest dogs in the entire world. Up until recently we also had two rabbits that I brought home from a friends house one day when I was in fifth grade because at that time there was no possibility of our ever getting a dog, according to my parents, and then they lived for 13 years.
