Not that strongly behind either team, but I like the Giants.

I am with you there. Also I am a little mad that they are responsible for the 49ers being out. I would have loved to see them play the superbowl.

I found out that the tv station, which is carrying the game her has a live stream. So I am watching online as everyone else is asleep. The game used to be on a station without any commercials here and it´s not any more. And the commercials are lame. I wish they would show the US commercials.

The commercials so far have been so-so. A couple really good ones, but most are same-ole, same-ole - or are just falling flat.

Ok, than I won´t change the stream.

It´s kind of funny, that there have been two instances with too many players on the field. Does that happen often? It seems like a stupid mistake to make at such an important game.

FF does not really show me the new posts or puts the latest updated threads on top of the page. Does anyone else have that issue?

It happens, but it shouldn't happen twice in one half by two teams that are supposed to be the best in the league.

FF has been flaky the last few days. Working fine for me now, but it has been troublesome lately.

^I see. It does look kind of chaotic who gets on the field at what time, so I can see why it would happen. But still seems like everyone should be super careful, if it´s that important.

I didn´t quite get why the punishments seemed so different. The packers lost possession of the ball, but the Giants have been allowed to just repeat their 3rd try? Maybe I missed something.

Packers, you mean Patriots?

A penalty (when accepted/enforced) means the play never happened. The Patriots recovered a fumble on the play when they had 12 men, so the penalty means that the play did not count - it goes back to the same possession & down as before the penalty. Does that make sense? They did not lose possession as part of the penalty, but because the turn-over was nullified.

Yeah, Patriots of course. I just learned they have a German player, so my tv station kind of favors them.

And thanks for that explanation. That made total sense. I was switching rooms and from tv to live stream and missed the play when the Patriots had 12 men on the field. So I didn´t know they had recovered a fumble during it.

The game is shown on regular tv here and other NFL games aren´t. They usually explain the rules a lot, which is nice. I did have ESPN at the end of last year. They show everything, but use the US commentators and they of course don´t explain the rules all the time. The channel is quite cheap to add to my cable package, though. I might do that again for the next season. It´s quite fun to watch.

I saw the highlights today... It didn't look amazing... The last 4 Superbowls I've watched haven't been though, usually the games leading up are much more entertaining.

Though the best team won.

If anyone is interested in seeing the commercials that didn't get to, here are some of them:

(Note - I have no idea if people outside the US will be able to view those.)

I was very underwhelmed by the game kinda a let down but then again I wasnt all that excited for it either...which is probably why I wasnt all that into it. Last 5 minutes were great rest was very sloppy and boring for a Super Bowl game.

Yeah, it wasn't a very good game until the end.

And yet, I still got NOTHING done while it was on.

Thanks for the link (does work in Canada at least)

I wish they had mentioned that Cirque Du Soleil was doing the half time show with Madonna, I would have watched it, instead I washed the car at half time.

Eh. I LOVE Cirque Du Soleil, and I still wouldn't have watched it.
