I'm not sure how to answer this one. Like chance vs. destiny? I kind of believe life has a mix of both.

This quote explains it best.
"People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?" __________________

Good question! I guess I believe in a bit of both. I think some people who believe in destiny blame it for what happens to them and don''t take responsibility. I have at least met people like that.

That's a good quote. It really sums it up.
I lean more toward luck. I'm more practical and I know if I want something to change, i've got to do it myself and I can't wait around hoping it will happen. If something comes along to speed the process up it's luck. because I wasn't waiting around to happen. |

Bonus points if you guess where that quote is from. Hint: It's from a movie.
I'm always torn with this question but I always ending up leaning more towards destiny. I think that everything that happens in your life is for a reason. I've had to deal with some pretty heavy stuff in my life and I truly believe that everything that I go through has a reason. I don't think it was coincidence. __________________

It's from Signs.
I could write a book about everything i've been through. It's always one thing after another but I am very thankful for the things that I do have. I think that's why I believe in destiny. I think that I was put through those things to make me a stronger person. __________________

My whole life could be described that way Em. I was so sheltered and I still am to a certain extent.
My parents are always telling me I don't know anything about life because nothing really bad has ever happened to me. |
