Yeah the denim jacket didn't make an appearance last night And once again she didn't stay to meet fans (or at least I don't think so. TBH after the last 3 times I've gone to see her and waited an hour for her and she never came out, this time I just didn't even bother). But I'm fortunate to have met her already at the first show she played at the Troubadour in 2011. She was nice enough to record a birthday message for one of my friends from this board too. I didn't know it would be so rare to meet her again.

Last night was pretty great though. I have some videos but the sound quality is a bit squeaky. I'll post those as well as a few pics later.

Yeah, I'm glad I got to meet her, too. It's too bad because she was so generous with her time when she didn't have to be because from my experience, artists don't usually do that for free like she did. I don't think venues allow the artists to do them unless they can make $ off of them, too, because it's their space. Leighton doesn't offer them, but meet-n-greets are package deals with your ticket if you choose to purchase them. When I was looking up the calendars for the venues she's playing at on tour, some other artists had the option so presumably it has to be done through the business. Also, there are other acts going on after Leighton so they don't want people who don't have tickets for those shows waiting around.

^yeah that's what I figured for these shows so that's another reason why I didn't even bother. But I was a bit disappointed that she didn't after her album release party. I get that she wanted to celebrate and I respect that but I and a few others waited over an hour for her (someone had even flown from Denmark I believe just for the show) and she snuck out the back. I've been to a few shows at these venues she's played at in the past where the artists stay after. Anyway, if she decided to do m&g's (as long as they are reasonably priced) I'd consider one.

Also I noticed she wasn't as shy during this performance which I think may have to do with how many shows she's played there already. Usually when I've seen her she was never as talkative as she was last night.

Aw, I'm glad she's starting to open up. The reviews of her concerts from the first few shows have noted she's been really shy in between songs. But yeah, good to hear because someone was tweeting her about trying not to be ashamed of her Gossip Girl fanbase because she wasn't amused at being called Queen B or something. I thought that person was being a bit overdramatic, lol.


I hope she'll always do music on the side because I really want to hear her sound live.

Also so happy to hear that she's not as shy anymore. I think that performing live, with her music and on Broadway, has made her more open and not as shy as before.
