EPISODE 3x09: They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?
Airing: NOVEMBER 9TH, 2009 at 9PM ET/8PM CT

Not satisfied with just being Queen of Constance Billard, Jenny sets her sights on becoming the Queen of all the Upper East Side by landing the hottest escort for Cotillion. Nate and Chuck plot to help Serena and Blair repair their damaged friendship. Dan is upset when Olivia contemplates leaving school for a movie project.

YES! Chuck is so amazing!

Locking them in an elevator.

This episode really goes to show how jaded Blair is. She needs to do a lot of growing up to do.

But I think she's taking the first steps.

Loved that her and S made up! And had a good heart-to-heart! Serena made me tear up!

So heartbreaking!

At Blair telling Chuck he better like her in flannel.

I thought the threesome was really lame.

And I didn't care about the Jenny storyline.

Overall, I thought it was a good episode! Loved that Chuck seems to care for both B and S! And B and S made up!

Gossip Girl 3x09

For those of you who know me, and know who I ship, my heart is pounding. I’m really about to fall over. *deep breaths*

Okay, episode time.

One, why is Cotillion a month early?

So, more than just Constance at Cotillion. Jenny realizes she is NOBODY. Good.

B/C. Nate’s move-in. They need a lost weekend. CN are roomies. *dies*

Trip hires Serena. They talk about a potato sack race from 1998. When..Serena..was…7. And Trip was like..14 *blinks* Okay… The uh..black man… (is that supposed to be Bryan?) gives ST the same look I give them.

Dan, Olivia, Vanessa are studying for midterms.

GUYS! The Geek Squad! They want a fourth movie. Olivia’s denying it. I love the leader of the Geeks. Can we have more Leader of the Geeks/Blair scenes? Those are too fun… (What? Stop looking at me like that.)

Lily is at rehearsal, telling Jenny she needs to catch up. But wait, isn’t this the first class? Sure, but they’ve all been taking dance lessons for ever, Brooklyn!

Eric is supposed to be an escort. Cece would be so proud! Keira. I don’t know how she wants to spell her name, but this is how I spell it until I get something official. I approve.

Our threesome. Olivia’s on the phone. DV are talking. There’s a list of 15 things to do at college. They want to do them before Olivia leaves!

Eric spots Jenny trying dances. They twirl a bit. Eric’s better than her. She agrees. Eric tells her she can go with Jonathan. Jenny goes back in. Eric sees she has a text. And gets rid of Graham.

van der Woodsen dinner. (I love that they use it. Don’t forget it!) BS are fighting. Jenny comes around. Now B’s Jenny’s mentor.

This BS is….bs. Apparently Chuck is the ONLY person in the world who understands. Because none of the rest of us do.

Eric and Jonathan. Star Wars references. They would.

S leaves and ends up at Trip’s office. Bringing dinner! And her title is Media Relations Rep. And the black guy peaks in again. Trip tells S to leave.

Keira is super!fangirl and tells Jenny about Graham and Jenny’s not happy!

I stake claim, guys. I’m the world’s biggest Blair/Eric fan. I’ll fight you for it. The BE tonight? ALMOST as good as the..other thing. Almost, damn, yes, I did say there was something better. (AND YOU ALL KNOW WHAT!)

Jenny tells B her era is over.

College party! Shots. Tequila! Olivia has a call. Geeks come up to DV. They hate Dan. SO DO I! SO DOES BLAIR! Can Leader of the Geeks/Blair talk about this? (Do not ask me my thing about this…I have ISSUES!)

Olivia returns. She has to do the movie.

B looks at her work. And Eric comes in with K’s date. Graham. OMG, he’s generic!ken doll. Jesus. *blinks* eww (BTW, I called the Eric/Graham thing. Oh yeah.)

Nate’s there. LR. JN. I don’t care.

There’s a note and a key and Natie was messenger.

And Eric tells B about what happens in summer camp doesn’t always stay. Hehe He’s learning. I love it!

DOV. They decide to leave the party.

Blair and Serena. Realize they’ve been set up. NOT QUITE. So they get into the elevator. And that’s the real set up ladies. That’s how it’s done. Okay, Chuck’s still King.

He’s so using his cameras. Perv.

“So, what did my text supposedly say?”

“That you were sorry and that you missed me.”

“Did you text back?”

S nods. AWWWWWWWWW

Still, just as useless as it is EVERY ****ING YEAR! Weeeee

OH!! It’s the same Cotillion woman! I love that. YAY! Props!

Jenny’s got no escort. Whispers.

Jenny/Eric. J wants after Blair. She calls Nate.

Elevator. They’re talking about S’s summer/dad. Mention B’s many dad’s. Nate having to go to prison to visit his.

S talks about her father always going and coming back with presents. “And then one day, he didn’t come back.”

And then they talk about Trip. B is NOT happy.

“I don’t know if I can trust myself around him.” (Just go to Nate for Christ’s sake.)

B says NO. Stay away. I agree. Bad news.

DOV. They have done 14 out of 15 things.

S tells B she’s going to Trip’s to hand in her resignation.

Jonathan. Ah, and I hate him back from last Thanksgiving and the cheating.

“Have you really been scheming with Blair?”

BC dancing! HE IS WEARING A RED BOW TIE. THEY MATCH. I love matching. B leaves to spend time with the bestie. Sorry, Chuck. (WHERE IS MY CE SCENE?)

Eric/Jenny. He hears Jenny threaten Keira. K/E. Eric’s not done playing. YAY!

This ST is like…too much for me to try to be comfortable with. It’s so damn AWKWARD. (Blake and Aaron don’t work so well together, sorry.)

B comes there. S tells her to go. She does. *sighs*

Can BCE hang out now?

Lily says Vanya said there was something for her to sign for Bass Industries. LILY STILL IS A PART OF IT!

So if something bad happens with Chuck, he does have the back-up. (My vdB soul thanks you for not getting rid of Lily and Bass Industries.)

I actually liked this ep for the most part.

It was cute seeing Blair/Serena make up, but did anyone feel like with that Serena/Trip scene at the end that they might be back in a fight?

Blair didn't look too happy when she left.

Speaking of Serena/Trip, EW! That just grosses me out. He's married and way too old for her.

Jenny got on my nerves so bad in this ep. I hate how she went from wanting to change things at the beginning of the season to becoming this unrecognizable person. And I thought it was lame that Nate helped her. Why is he always doing her favors?

Poor Eric! He was just trying to save Jenny from herself and get dumped by Jonathan. I loved his scheming with Blair!

I didn't think that SB were going to be in another fight. It looked like Blair was more upset of the situation rather than Serena herself. She definitely didn't like that Tripp was touching Serena. And Serena didn't even think of it as a big deal.

I loved Blair in this episode,
So many great moments:
When Blair was acting all calm around the stripper wearing her lingerie and Chuck right away noticing something was terribly wrong was great

The SB elevator scene was really touching their fights are somewhat amusing but this is how I love SB the most. This better be their last fight...

Blair teaching that girl how to dance was hillarious

and Jenny WTF how dare she ditch Blair? she basically made her who she is! Between screwing Eric numerous times and now this Jenny is getting on my nerves.

Jenny ditching Blair did not make any sense. Blair didn't even do anything. She was just trying to prevent a scene. And Jenny's basically, I don't need you as my mentor because I got the guy. Huh? Where did that come from? Blair even approved of her date.

I watched just few scenes and it seems to me a good episode.

CB and B were love and SB were adorable. However, the last scene when S stayed with Tripp made me think that smthg is still damaged and last week's speech wasn't totally random.

I love how the SB issues are so deep and profond, and yet can be made up in one episode. Did anyone notice that Serena was the only one pouring her heart out? Why is it that it's always Blair who has to be there for Serena? And rarely vice versa?'

Okay, Jenny so needs to be taken down. I'm so sick of her queen BS. Loved scheming little Erik and how he let Jenny believe he had nothing to do it the scheme. Blair and E must scheme together again! Urgh to Nate coming to Jenny's rescue. Of course, it was totally in character because Nate loves being the hero and he's as usual clueless to what's happening around him so he still thinks Jenny is little, innocent J.

Wow, could the 3-some be any lamer? But that was to be expected when they chose such a boring pair like DV and little miss innocent Lizzie McGuire.

Oh Tripp. PLEASE don't go there!

DOV were fillers, if they left out all their scenes, this episode was still mellifluent. Olivia was just a guest star, thus the reappraisement of D's preference (O or V) was axiomatic like D's destiny was interwoven with V's.

The BS scene in the elevator melted my heart, but their fighting seemed to be a great gulf fixed last episode. The wound was healing too fast, which took away the importance/meaning of fighting. I liked they made a description of B's out-of-form when S left for boarding school.

Could escort to the debutante be reused? Twice?

I was pleased I got a separate NB scene. Compared to last season I awaited their doom for half of season, I could not be more chuffed.

Tripp was bad news.
