So... this was an okay episode.

Not enough CB! But omg, their last last scene!!! Loved it!

Serena/Blair! Ugh. So sad! They need to get back on track. I don't like this at all.

Though, I loved that when Serena pushed Blair into the cake, Blair totally licked her lips, like she was tasting the cake.

Didn't like Nate in this episode. But, I don't like him in general anyway. Vanessa was just okay. Jenny looked so pretty without a ton of make up on!

So, overall, I liked CB's scenes and BS need to be friends again!

And, I hate to say this, but the writers are destroying Blair! Yeah, she's a bitch and can be manipulative, but she needs to apologize and grow up. Why are they doing this to my bb, Blair??

-edit- I need to rant.

Really disappointed with the BS storyline! Really, really upset. The whole thing was ridiculous. As much as I adore Blair, the writers are making her act like a child. She needs to grow up. And now everyone's against Serena...Nate, Chuck, Blair? WTF? Serena should be the one who's upset with Nate. And Chuck telling Serena that she should just know Blair by now and know that B really wants to be friends. Um, no. Yeah, maybe she should know, but I don't think S should apologize. B needs to grow up and apologize. And the whole Blair saying that he life is set out and S's isn't and she needs to get her act together? And dissing Carter? What was that??

Oh, my bb Blair. What are the writers doing to you? And Serena?? Why are the writers being so mean to you?

Ugh.

I love that Chuck and Blair are a part of the campaign. (Preparing for Nate...in 10 years…*cough*)

KC wants Patrick around politicians.

Dan and Olivia wake up and mention V’s absence. *giggles* hehe *cough* And then they mention Jimmy Fallon and Olivia gets all sketchy.

CN! Oh man, I love these boys. Chuck’s new place. B loves the surveillance. Hehe. He says it’s naughty.

VANESSA! CAMERA! YAY! *SQUEAL* the NV and CV girls can be happy then?

Grandfather. He called Chuck Charles. Hehe. Can Lily and Grandfather talk about Charles one day? Oh man. I have issues.

Maureen…

Grandfather and Nate talk. “Nothing short of a miracle.” Dun dun dun

Olivia and Serena are talking. And Dan comes and it’s awkward because of the Jimmy Fallon thing so the girls talk about guys and Dan’s awkward because his current girlfriend is talking to his ex girlfriend about her current boyfriend, who is Olivia’s ex. *blinks* His wording was hilarious, but I wasn’t fast enough to catch it.

Blair is walking towards her room. S left Olivia’s. S wants a latte. She’s willing to let it slide. Hi. Have you met Blair? So they’re sad.

Amalia is there. (I like this one..she can be the new Isabel/Kati, yes?) “I need a friend, stat.” “I’m your friend.” (OMG, she’s adorable.) “Please. I’m not friends with staff.” I love you, Blair Waldorf. Never change, k, thx.

Trip and Nate. Ah, can Trip become a regular? I have fallen in love with him.

Someone is drowning! He goes in. V’s filming.

And we’ve cut to the news. DUDE. I was like..why is New York news playing and it took a moment to realize it’s part of the SHOW. Brilliant!

Nate doesn’t trust Grandfather.

Vanessa’s so happy. Her rescue footage will be used!!! And we got a V/S scene.

SN. Nate’s not a fan of hers. “My job’s at stake!” And I didn’t get the full convo, but I’m TeamNate! Because his cousin’s political career was/is at stake, Serena! Boo hoo.

Trip comes along and asks if S will be there. So she’s got her invite.

Blair’s got FOUR minions. Nice. And she stops a … coveted bag. (I’m not a fashion/accessory person, leave me be.) So she invites this girl. Brandice. (We’ll call her that since I haven’t a clue.)

Scrabble. Humphreys. Lucky you, Olivia.

WHERE IS ERIC! He’s with Jonathan watching the results. (Or they’re at the party but…Chuck’s..busy…with..girls…press…yes, we’ll believe this… *cries*)

Jenny’s sick. NO MAKE UP. Look how pretty. (I mean it. She’s pretty without the makeup.)

Olivia deletes the text on Dan’s phone.

Vanessa’s looking at the footage and spots a boo-boo. Oopsies.

Serena goes to Patrick. He’s hot. And drinking as S tries to be serious (and I try to care..)

NV! She tells Nate that it was a set-up. “I have it all on tape.” She doesn’t want to be part of a cover-up.

And Nate calls New York 1. And I’m still cheering him on. Because Chuck is his BEST FRIEND, guys. Natie’s LEARNING. I’m proud. BC would be, too. *pets Natie*

There’s some S/P and B/Brandice stuff. And then BS.

“No one’s ever accused you of saying no.” BURN. I love you, Blair. Tis true.

Dan watches Jimmy Fallon.

V comes to the party and talks to the producer and realizes she’s been duped.

Dan rushes out and tells Olivia to stay. Jenny realizes she owns a laptop! The girls run to check.

Ew, 5 hours of board games. Either Eric is at Chuck’s hotel or he ran away. *shivers* oh.my.god. wow

J/O watch the Late Night stuff. Blah blah. I really don’t care.

S/P. He tells S that B’s friend is a call girl. *blinks* Yeah.

NV. He had to protect his cousin! And the self-righteous quote from the promo is to Vanessa.

The news reports the hoax. And thus, this is why I love BV. Because they can match. V’s not afraid of the UES. You go girl!

Nate gets everyone out as the Vanderbilts talk. Trip’s not happy and he’ll resign if Grandfather doesn’t come clean. But it’s not him! And..I believe him. Because Blair, Chuck, & Grandfather would SMIRK. Grandfather is not happy either. It wasn’t him, guys!!!

So my initial reaction is Buckley’s?

And then Trip says he’s going to withdrawal but he needs to tell Maureen first.

And I knew it was this bitch. FAIL. (Blair, can you talk with her..because I’d love her to rip Maureen a new one.)

S confronts Brandice. “Two blondes make a right.” LMAO! Oh, S. She’d know… *cough* sorry.

Chuck’s trying to talk with a reporter but he seems drunk!douche!Patrick without pants. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, but wow. Security’s on him. Chuck’s that good.

S tells B her friend is a hooker.

BCS. Ah, I miss these three.

“The only prostitute here is you.” Oh, Blair. (Besides..not the only! Natie, too. Oh, wait, we’re over that storyline. Carry on.)

And BC go away and S pushes her into the cake.

Pause. Commentary time.

The MOMENT someone calls S something mean she goes into … I don’t even know what to call it. But Chuck called her a train wreck. She sabotaged his business meeting. Blair called her a prostitute and S pushes her into the cake. Real mature, S. Are we 5?

Nate takes the stage and takes the blame because he loves his cousin! PLEASE! TRIP. DO NOT LEAVE! I love you.

Vanessa’s filming this.

Nate says Trip had no knowledge of it. And says great things but I wasn’t fast enough to write it. But it was beautiful. I love you Nate Archibald.

Serena and Chuck! *SQUEAL* Alas, he doesn’t really take sides. He just KNOWS his girlfriend and pretty much tells S she should know Blair, too. DUH. Amazing scene. I watched and then it ended and I couldn’t write what he said because I was pure happiness. But, “I’m telling you.” FIX IT, bitch.

Dan and Olivia. The spider story was false like Fallon called it. He was sweating. SURPRISE. Hi, Dan Humphrey. But the reason he left the van der Woodsen home was because he forgot their one month. Everyone awws, I just roll my eyes.

Trip thanks his cousin.

AND!! HE WON. And YES! He’s 26. And I kid you not, I jumped and squealed because I’ve been trying to figure out how old Trip is since 3x06. *cough* I already mentioned my issues! Leave me alone!

“You’re the only honest man in the family.” Yeah, that’s gonna come back, ain’t it?

It’s the beginning of a new Vanderbilt dynasty! Dun dun dun (Natie’s still gonna be a senator in my eyes, btw.)

Blair/Serena. “I’m sorry.” But you’re too late, S.

Blair says S was always #1 and now B’s in college and in a working relationship. S is losing her family, something with Carter, and her job is dating a failing celebrity.

“And you’ve lost Nate; one of your oldest friends.” Blair ‘ships ‘em bitches! *giggles*

Blair’s done, though.

She finds Brandice and the girl confesses. “Eww.” I love you, B.

“You used me to meet new clients?!” hehe I love Blair. She says the best things.

S/P. “That’s what you get paid for.” BURN.

And S writes “KC I quit” on a napkin and gets Patrick to take it to KC. Good bye. And thus, see, you’re job sucks. You lost your BFF for it. Bravo, Serena.

Blair and Serena catch each others’ eyes but B goes back inside.

Maureen and William. I WAS RIGHT! Maureen did it. But! She wanted Grandfather out of their lives. And now Grandfather had no credibility. I still hate Maureen.

Blair is lying in bed as Chuck enters. He says he thought she went home or else he would have come sooner. *SWOON* And he gets in behind her. 3x02 switch? I love these two.

“That’s okay. I have you. That’s all I need.” And my heart broke for BS. Because they really do need each other.

I don’t understand was Vanessa was doing in the end. Looking at her footage?

Dan and Olivia and Fallon and something. *shrugs*

BC are adorable and B’s heartbreaking.

And Serena’s at the bar. Trip comes around. He wants to listen. This is gonna explode.

Poor Blair. Now, why am I not surprised that Brandice turned out to be Poppy 2.0 ?

And she actually liked her and defended her to Serena.

It kinda gives a whole new meaning when ppl were asking Blair if she and Brandice were sisters.

This episode was not bad I actually didn't feel like Blair was being completely ruined by the writers in this epi. She actually came out to be a victim in one way. I really felt bad for the whole Brandice thing,I knew it was too good to be true for Blair to actually find a friend other that Serena. Well Blair's facial expressions when she was comfronting her, priceless expecially the EWWW!! when Brandice first admitted it.

SB fight, I'm not sure why Blair was asking for an apology that was just badly written, not Serena or Blair deserved one. So I kinda saw the whole SB conflict as pointless. Their fight never seem to make sense to me.

SB fights save for S1, never made any sense.

Blair was trying to help Serena and Serena calls her jealous and gets mad with her and when Serena tries to help Blair the same exact thing happens. It doesn't make any sense.

When did Blair asked Serena for an apology? At the beginning of the episode? I thought she was telling Serena that she wasn't going to apologize to her.

SB fighting was pretty sad. It's sad because it's realistic when SB were seeking for seperate turns of life and finding no mutual ground here to share and fit each other in. I liked the lines B destroyed S's illusion she got a real job. Her arguments were well grounded in facts S's job wasn't a marker of dignity/refinement. I also liked she realised she could start a life without S because her perennial inferior to S fueled her insecurity and hinkered her building self-esteem. I couldn't buy B got a better life than S now simply due to the fact she got a college life and a boyfriend. I could buy it if her college life was more than title obsession and if BC's relationship weren't so imbalanced last episodes.

I felt for her in the CB snuggle scene. When she said she only had Chuck to depend on, I thought she really needed a real friend. C could be a good boyfriend when he wanted to be, but he was still Chuck who had the disruptive/vindictive nature. She was still alone by herself.

You're right she didn't ask for an apology, I thought she asked for one in the beginning... still Serena was willing to put everything behind yet Blair didn't care to do so which I didn't get why?. Now that I'm thinking about it was Serena only trying to make amends with Blair so she could go to the Van Der Bilt party?

I watched only part of the ep but Serena/Tripp made me think of BJ....and I loved the CB ending scene.

However I am worried because B has just C in her life, so even if the line was there to show that she needs a bestie even if she wants to believe otherwise, I don't know what could happen if she lost C or C screw up...

I loved the CS scene about B. It was well done.

As for me, I don't care about Dan/Olivia, SP, SN, NV, NT ..etc

what I really care about is B only, and I feel sorry for her after the cake scene.. ( tbh, I laughed though)

Now when I come to think about it, S and B aren't friends anymore, B hates V, " hasn't heard of that name "and G , there isn't even a scene to show if B and N still good friends, BD is the most thing can crack me up , then what is next ??!! the only one that seems to be for B is C. O.K , what if their relationship is ruined , who'll be with B ?? No friends now ?!!

I guess Dorota is the only person who can treat B well, I hope they won't fight either ..

the scenes I like from this episode are CS talking about B, BC at the end, B's comments ... I hate what's going on with SB , they should be loyal friends, I guess..

I think BS will be fine and this fight was needed. What is annoying is that every year this time we get a SB's fight but this one isn't the worse. It also refelcted the situations/issues they are facing trying to leave behind high school.
So I guess that B will have S again later.

But IA, I love CB. I just want them happy. I hope this isn't foreshadowing. (After last season, everything scares me...)

I'm obv. team B as well. But like I didn't think B was evil last episode, I didn't think S was either in this one.

At least she recognize to B that she was wrong too on the last episode. This was PRECIOUS.

The cake thing was horrendous though. I mean it's not the first time B has called S a whore or a prostitute.

I loved the CS scene and now I understand why they had so many prior CS scenes. THey had to build them up so that C wouldn't want to kill her during that fight.
I like that he protects B no matter what when S says "you tell her" he answers "I'm telling you". Which is very cute. No matter what B does, he'll always protect her. And it's continuity w/ the last episode where he wanted to focuse their duplicity on others.

That wasn't what Blair was saying at all. She was telling Serena that in her entire life - even during her relationship with Nate - Serena was always #1 in Blair's life. Now, its different. She has college and her first real relationship in Chuck with whom she's building a future with. Serena no longer comes first - and I think that showed when Blair chose Chuck welfare over Serena last episode.

To prolong their fight? Cause without it what would the writers do? I don't think that Serena was trying to make amends with Blair so she could go to the the party.

Its like their previous fight were Serena's like - let's be friends again - and Blair is still upset with her. I also think that the last line about Blair having to see Chuck shows that Chuck is more of a priority than Serena. IDK, I think that the writers felt a little short with showing us why the girls were fighting. Not their petty back and forth but the real reason. It's one of those cases that they tell us instead of really showing us. I do think the fact that SB hardly had scenes this season so far was showing us that the girls were drifting and that their priorities were shifting.
