EPISODE 3x02: The Freshman
Airing: SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2009 at 9PM ET/8PM CT

Blair, who is determined to maintain her Queen status in college, embarks on her first day at NYU, along with Dan and Vanessa. Unfortunately, Georgina turns up as Blair's roommate in the dorms, determined to make Blair a social outcast. As Serena prepares to depart for Brown, she and Chuck have a major falling out, so she recruits Chuck's enemy, Carter, to help her get even. Nate and Bree decide to explore their relationship further, knowing full well it could cause tension between their families who are political rivals.

Oh to the actual episode:

DOROTA IS BACK! *SQUEAL* Same uniform and all. That’s awesome. Lol

Oh, joy, Dan’s eating a frozen waffle. I swear, by the end of the show, I’ll never eat a waffle again.

BC making out by the limo. Aww. Chuck warns her dorm is a bad idea. Why won’t anyone LISTEN to him? *sighs*

Effing hell, I’m glad SD are just friends, but they have the most screen time together. I don’t get it. BUT! S is right. You should call Vanessa and apologize. Hehe

And Dan’s got a fan club. Weeeee *ZZZZZZZZZZZZ*

Umm…that’s nice. Keep shoving Rufus down my throat. You know what that will do? MAKE ME HATE HIM MORE. He used to be a good parent. But I can’t sit through scenes peacefully anymore. I really cannot. And this father plot + SR scenes only angers me more. Because BART SIGNED THE ADOPTION PAPERS.

Vanessa/Scott! Oh, I’m feeling him more. He likes our girl! (mine, whatever, haters) Dan spots them. OMG, they didn’t make up off screen! YAY!

And B walks by and makes sure they don’t know her. Lol

Serena/Chuck! I MISSED YOU! S, I hate you soon in this ep. But, anyway, first place S goes when she needs a place? CHUCK’S ROOM. There’s hundreds of rooms in the Palace, but she wants to live with her BIG BRO!! *SQUEAL*

Umm..Blair, sweetie, that’s not how college works. You poor thing. The girls already thing she’s crazy. lol (she is)

GEORGINA! *SQUEAL* OMG, I love her. SO MUCH. HEHE. The crazy!psycho!peppy thing always makes me giggle.

And Vanessa walks by and OMG, same floor, everyone! THIS IS AMAZING! BGV forever!

Dorota again. Because Dorota rocks. Doesn’t matter that B’s in a dorm. Dorota will always be there. Hehe

Chuck called S “Sis” again! THAT’S RIGHT. Don’t forget this. *SQUEAL*

*happy* *dies* (Bass cave? ROTFLMAO) Oh, and dealer mentioned again. BN and now SC have this funny thing. I’ll pretend CN have the same pot dealer, so Nate’s dealer’s name is Jesse, too. (Yes, I wrote his name down so I can use this one day. I’m crazy, we know this.)

Oh, btw, Chuck’s suit? HOT HOT HOT. Lavender. “Why do you wear so much purple?!” (excuse me while I cry first… *sobs* *mourns Bart some more*) BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO HOT ON HIM!

Oh, I want this Speakeasy plot. Because, um, hi, 2x07. I WANT THIS. And he tells S first. Aww. Adorable. HE LOVES HIS LIL SIS!

Dan/Vanessa. DID YOU HEAR IT?! DAN SAID SORRY FIRST! YAY! OMG, this is TOTALLY Vanessa’s season. About effing time! And they have a class together. YAY!

Georgie comes around. I still wanna know what meds she’s on. LOL.

Coffee… G’s stalking ability knows that DV’s thing is COFFEE. Awww

And V rips Dan a new one AGAIN. (Abrams wins!) She goes after Georgie! Hehe YAY!

Umm..Nate, WHY ARE YOU ON THIS SHOW? At least we had CN scenes in the premiere. WTF was this bull? Why is he even in the episode? *gag*

Oh, hell, Serena. WHY. She busted up the meeting.

*cries* Poor Chuckles.

Oh, one person at the party. Anyone else having a 1x08 flashback? Not the one person thing, but the Japanese theme… CHUCK SHOULD HAVE COMFORTERED HER THEN. Oh well, I like the next B scene.

But first: Chuck is ANGRY. ABOUT DAMN TIME. I thought Chuck would NEVER get angry at Serena. "Trainwreck." About time he finally didn't stand around and let her get away with it. One name call is better than nothing.

Okay, back to Vanessa. I mean Blair. THEY WATCHED A DOCUMENTARY! GUYS! SHE FILMED SOMETHING! We saw creds, but still! SHE FILMED! Plot, please? Soon? Yes? Please?

Georgina’s face when she closes the door on B? Beautiful. I love BG so much.

Oh, look…STOP IT. And Dan tells S to go to Rufus because he’s good with fatherly advice. (after S spends the night at the loft) But, like, seriously. I HATE THIS.

At least RHr was never thrown in my face like LR. I had Harry/Hermione to save me with Harry Potter. Hell, even in the books, HG wasn’t shoved down my throat. I can take that. I can take Michael/Maria from Roswell because Isabel/Michael had plenty of scenes. But, this? I cannot do it. Someone find me Josh’s address. No joke.

“Do you know you’re more afraid of my mother than I am.” Serena says to Rufus. Yeah, um, no kidding. I agree with this statement.

Serena/Carter! He’s super sexy. Please never leave, Carter. *pets*

Don’t ruin my BD. I swear to god, this is amazing, but do not ruin it. (meaning, don’t hook them up. It won’t work) B asks if Dan has a date. I’m just speechless. Don’t ruin BD, guys.

Leighton’s song! Okay, so not really her song, but SHUT UP! It is. And there’s the “No Headhands” scenes.

“Dan’s a writer?” I LOVE YOU BLAIR. I agree. He’s a writer? Apparently he’s a good writer? Umm..Yeah, Chuck’s fanfic thread. Someone caught the beginning of his Charlie Trout story. We laughed for days. Sure..okay…cool… *crickets chirp*

OMG, Nate’s alive. Great to know. Why are you taking up my space? I still do not UNDERSTAND THIS! (S can have Carter, V gets Scott and Dan gets Georgie, but Nate – if he’s not with S, he should be SINGLE and playing lacrosse. On screen. Shirtless. That’s the least you could do.)

C/Ca scene. And S effed things up again. Nice going. I like though. It’s a good scene. And Chuck just leaves without throwing a fit or anything. Yeah, you just ruined another meeting, but he’s above your pettiness, S.

And, reason 2 for going to… that guy… is said here. CHUCK IS CONCERNED. Because he’s the best person in the world. S, you’re a ****ty sis, btw. But, it’s okay, I love SC no matter what. (see, not even the 2x13 funeral scene turned me away..kinda….*deep breath* )

What show were the geeks talking about when they were by B? I haven’t a clue. But that was hilarious.

So, I’m assuming Katie knows Scott. That DVSc & Katie scene about the professor was bizarre.

Carter’s not happy being used, S. Come on, this is like BC, you know this, no? He’s your Chuck (strange since..Chuck’s her..Chuck, but whatever…we all get it). He doesn’t want to be your bad habit, S! He loves you, remember!

B tells people about her party and invites Dan. But V’s name isn’t on the list. Hehe. I love BV. Don’t mess them up, either.

But, Danny is above this all and denounces B and her party and tells them all to stay and drink cheap beer with him. Eww. Blair, I’ll go with you!

Blair/Serena! See, prom steps have totally made me love them. MORE BS! (um..no, not bull, but Blair/Serena. Thanks.) B could really use her girl and S should learn to talk to her friend. (What, I said I liked them, not that I like them equally or anything.)

Vanessa/Scott! HE WANTS TO SPENT TIME WITH HER! No Humphreys.

S/Ca! “I want you.” Aww, S! hehe. Carter’s so hot. I’d wanna be with him, too.

OMG, I’m skipping this scene. (read the end of this for a commentary on the scene)

DV on the phone. He’s got a hangover and Georgie’s head is in his lap. Awww. They kiss. They cuddle. I want.

OMG, BEST SCENE IN THE EP!

Blair/Chuck. B goes to her boy. He’s sleeping. She goes into bed and snuggles behind him. *swoon*

Blair: Are you okay?
Chuck: I am now.

Oh, see, she could tell something was up. Because she’s the one who’s not okay with school, but she asked him. *DIES*

So, umm..yeah, Tell Blair your plan, Chuck (ala 1x07) and Blair will get any board to agree. Okay? Good. Yes, I like this plan.

Nate/Bree - boring! I love Chace, but his love storylines are so meh.

NYU crowd - It was kinda annoying to me how Blair didn't fit in, and everyone was all big on Georgina. And Vanessa buying into G's fake crap was lame as well.

Blair/Dan - I loved their scenes. It's too cute how Dan was willing to give Blair a chance, and Blair still invited him to Monkey Bar afterward. And then of course Dan has to ruin it and defend Georgina

Serena/Chuck/Carter - Serena annoyed me a bit tonight. I wish they'd give us reason for why she doesn't want to go to Brown. And her ruining Chuck's business proposal was mean, and using Carter wasn't very nice either. But I was happy about their scene towards the end.

Blair/Serena - Loved their scene in the steps! Besties are awesome

CB -

as usual. It was so cute how he dropped her off at NYU, and aw at all those kisses. Their scene at the end killed me!

Same here Nadia! If it hadn't been for this scene, CB at the beginning, and Ca/S at the end, this ep would've been a total fail for me

Serena was such a BITCH this episode. I'm glad Chuck stayed above it all and didn't react to her baiting him with Carter. Her ruining his business deal when he had trusted her was so wrong.

NBree were boring. They have no plot, I don't see the point of doing them.
SV the same. I don't see the point of them.

The outcast SL is lame and even GBD (basically three great actors) couldn't save them.

I loved the two CB's scenes, esp the last one. It was everything I love about them. They really are each other's home.
I loved CaS, especially Ca. He is my fav guy at the moment.
