Bitter about the title.

This may be the last season I watch for GG, still pissed that B didn't get decent storyline and evolution, and oblivious of deepening her feelings. For the emotional remarks, she wasn't a coherent or reportable character. I liked reading post-episode analysis and over-analyzing the characters I was fond of the most, but the writing was too poor to be worthy of attention and piece-together. It's a shame. :'/

If there is a miracle that they will bring B's bulimia back, maybe I will reconsider not to walk away from this show. Team Blair!!

Can I be added, I'm kinda on the fence tho! Adore early Blair, not a fan of whatever they think they are doing to her atm, I'm hoping it will get better tho! And I still love rewatching early s1 bitchy scheming blair!

I definitely understand that. I WAS on the fence of walking away from this show. I hated the crap they heaped on her this season. I thought C's plot was her secure to be away from being OOC, but they proved me wrong.

I hope the next season S4 she gets more focus, but I know the chance isn't big. Even her arc is on, the quality of which is still questionable.

I miss her writing was good, careful, thoughtful, meaningful and organic. Sometimes being numb to the loss is a blessing. :'/

You summed up exactly how I feel. In the last ep, when she judged Chuck for the DNA test I screamed at my computer screen! Actually screamed, Blair is the ultimate schemer; she should have suggested the test!
I kinda feel like both Chuck and Blair have been rubbish this season, they both seem ooc, esp with this mother arc

Nate and Serena are killing it this series, I understand that it's probably their time to shine; as CB was pretty much all of S2, but don't just completly change the characters! Come on writers Sort it out!

I'm the only one of my friends left watching it atm, I was the one most into it so it figures, but I don't know how much longer I will last

I could understand why B acted so scarily and boycotted the DNA test. She was afraid it took away C's temporary happiness and progressive openness to people when he had used to open up to her only. Mother-son's bond was a positive factor to better him. Nevertheless, the writing was messy, which didn't address that point. It made her enter the OOC zone. Belch.

I feel S was more complex, and shining in S3. N wasn't. His hero-complex didn't account.

He only got a POV in 3.15.

Some of my friends quit GG after 2.15/2.20/S2/3.07 (

). So it's kinda sad.

I feel kind of funny asking to be added and agreeing that I'm about to give up the show, as well, soon...but I think I will.

If the writers aren't going to do more psychological work for Blair, and showing her POV more...I'm no longer giving them the benefit of the doubt on seemingly OOC actions. I'm just calling them OOC. The pushing on the DNA test struck me as only the latest in a liine of kind of out of character actions that they will use to make her world fall around her.

I would mind less her perfect world shatters into pieces and her scheming blows up in her face if there is a motivation and explanation behind it. But sad to think there was only a "vacuum", a hole only filled by fan-wank.

They halfheartedly handled her and uncertainties about her feelings and POVs. She was on-screen but not existed as a readable and reletable character. What drove a character was much more important than moral standards of his or hers or category of villain or saint, especially to a grey character, eg:B, the motivations outweighed her actions. *sigh* And even that part she lost along with her unique characteristics.

I'm still waiting for season 4 but at the moment what they're doing to Blair is offensive. Even people who are not Blair fans admit that she's lost her essence and that she barely gets any material.
This is so unfair and frustrating.
