So I was unable to watch the episode yesterday and so refrained from commenting because of that. It's always better to see something with your own eyes.

Let me state that quite frankly I like Cappie/Rebecca as a pairing, as do I like Casey/Cappie as a pairing. It was probably easier for me to like C/R because I never hated Rebecca. The only character on the show that I had this inexplicable dislike for was strangely Evan. I just found him to be such an insufferable ******-bag. However, I think the writers did an excellent job when the show returned making him sympathetic and even rootable, thus leading to me being in an interesting position I've never been in, in terms of a show; I like everyone.

Personally I find my enjoyment of the show is a lot greater and less stressful because I've been there, in the whole obsessively shipping one pairing and quite frankly it's exhausting, frustrating and you sort of lose a bit of appreciation for the show as a whole because you're so consumed with your pairing being together. Not that I'm knocking anyone for doing so because let's face it, shipping is half the fun of watching these types of shows.

Onto the episode itself. I thought it was very clear that Rebecca lashed out while being hurt and while it's not an excuse and should be accepted, it is in character with who she is and something she's not just going to magically grow out of. That said, I think it was quite clear that Rebecca went down the path she did because she saw Cappie with Casey at a moment when she really, really needed him.

Still she didn't make a scene but the hurt and pain was so clear on her face. So she's 18 and she goes and gets drunk and decides to act crazy. I didn't think the scene at the club was such a big deal. It was obvious that only Cappie and Casey heard the other stuff (and well I guess the drunk guy).

Don't get me wrong, Rebecca's comment to Cappie was absolutely wrong and inexcusable but again consistent with the character she is...I'm hurt, I hurt someone else.

Cappie was the one who immediately said, "Casey..." with a look that he had to do this and I mean what else was she going to say but "go..." I mean I don't think she'd actually beg him to stay with her. Then there was no lingering looks on his part when he ran off to be with Rebecca.

Prior to that, we saw him immediately know something was wrong with her on the beach and ask her about it, was looking for her all over the place and was worried and most importantly, as much as he didn't want to, sucked it up and did the couply things she wanted to do.

It would have been far too easy to make the relationship a collossal mess, thus once again showing us that Cappie pines and wants only Casey. I LIKED that the writers make the triangle or square if you include Evan, not so cut and dry. That they make ALL the pairings rootable and good in their own ways.

Cappie probably still loves Casey but it does not automatically mean he doesn't have strong feelings for Rebecca which I think he does and that just makes him human and more interesting if you ask me.

Now this has gone on way longer than I expected and I know my thoughts seem all over the place...sorry, I just had a lot to say (a lot of which I haven't even stated) but all I'll say is that while I'm sure Cappie/Casey will come to pass, I don't think Cappie/Rebecca are over. Not by a long shot. Also, I just want to say about the C/C kiss...I think both initiated it and Casey definitely looked very into it but Cappie certainly wasn't complaining.

However I thought the post reaction was interesting...there looked to be confusion and uncertainty on both their parts, especially Cappie which is interesting, if he's all so madly in love with her.

i wish i could ship casey/cappie and have tried to like them as a couple but something is just missing there for me. it did make it better when i surprised myself by really enjoying frannie/evan so it makes it better cause now i am not all evan can only be with casey . but my main couple is cappie and rebecca i fell in love with them during depth percertion

rach i love the icons, btw thanks about my art and icon it is only like the 3rd art and first icon i have ever tried so they are not that great and wasn't planning on posting them I ran across them today in my pb today and i decided to go ahead since we don't have that much cabecca art (the screen cap i used was made by someone on this thread but for the lif of me i can't remember who it was)

if it is ok with everyone i was thinking of switching up the icons, caps and pics some, so if anyone has any new art, caps, icons or even animations they would like to share and not mind going on the op that would be great

i wish we had some cabecca animations i have a couple friends that do some fabulous ani's but sadly they don't watch greek

Thank you for writing that out in a calm well thought out response. So many people get wrapped up into a couple that they can't enjoy other pairings with that character or the show in general. Kind of like the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle over on Lost, the shipper wars get annoying and in the way of the show.

It's college, it makes sense that a great guy like Cappie would find himself interacting with other girls than Casey. And I do honestly think that he has real feelings for Rebecca, he did want more than a fling. And it wasn't to mess with Casey, Rebecca and Cappie have a connection, that seen in their psych questions.

And with tv shows with all these young good looking people. It makes sense that the writers will have characters have different dance partners as they say throughout the series. Besides I like it better when couples are not set in stone, that gets boring and sometimes the person you thought was your soul mate forever and always is just another chapter in your life leading you to the one. I'm not saying Rebecca is better than Casey for Cappie. I just like the pairing of both of them with him. And I also like Evan with Casey and I think I saw a spark between Rebecca and Evan so who knows.
