| Cross-posted from my LJ and The Office board Just some quick hits about the season premiere. I think my episode recaps are going to be shorter this season. -Glad we got the question of the Jim, Pam and THE ENGAGEMENT (it seems to have become a character over the summer) out of the way in the premiere. I had heard the rumors/spoilers about the rain storm, but what I was picturing was COMPLETELY different. Kinda felt rushed, but at the same time, I'm glad it's out of the way now. Timeline-wise, I'm guessing that we still have four more weeks (so four more episodes?) of Pam-In-Art-School and Jim/Pam long distance before she's back in the office. -LOVED Ryan coming back as the temp receptionist. It was fantastic to have Ryan taken down a notch or seven. Love the return of Michael creepiness regarding Ryan. Sorta loved that Kelly is now playing hard to get - she's kinda my hero now (hold the kinda). -Andy completely killed me in the middle of the episode with his speech about wanting to marry her and how Angela softened. I'm still having a hard time with Angela the Adulterer, but I guess that's how she rolls these days. -Michael was great in the first half of the episode, but I just kinda didn't get him in the second half of the episode. -This episode felt really weird to me overall. It was like nothing was really happening even though I know things were. I suppose I'll find more things I liked upon re-watching, but I didn't have a lot of laugh-out-loud moments like I did in the finale. Still have high hopes for the season and I'm looking forward to the new episode in two weeks. | |||

| Moderator Manager | Oh man, my electricity cut out tonight.  I missed the first 20 minutes.  But, I love what I saw. Can't wait to watch the whole episode tomorrow. I SO knew we were getting a JAM proposal in the rain based on some spoiler clues.  I was right!!! But, I had no idea it would happen in the premier. Jim was so happy afterwards. So adorable and smiley. So my highlights to no one's suprise I'm sure were Ryan, Kelly/Ryan, Michael/Ryan, Kelly, and Andy. I love Ryan, so I'm stoked he's back in The Office.  Kelly/Ryan: I love that he apologized to her. And I also loved that even so, she didn't run right back to him. Yay Kelly. As much as I love these two, Ryan has some work to do. Michael/Ryan: The Mancrush love is back. I loved the matching goatees and then the matching non goatees. Michael helped Ryan move and Michael got him on as a temp. I love it. Kevin's Fire.....d Guy comment.  Ryan keeping a list. Ryan/Jim: I love that this tension is still continuing. And awww poor Toby.  Andy is so sweet. I feel so so bad for him. I HATE that Angela is still continuing the charade with Andy while seeing Dwight behind his back. Little Drummer Boy is her and Dwight's song. So cold. | Jim was awesome in this episode! I loved, loved: - him talking to Pam on the MacBook - tricking Dwight into thinking Jim was IMing Pam about Dwight - Jim and Pam in the dorm room - THE JAM PROPOSAL!  - John looked really good.
