The scheduling in the US is very wacky. In the UK we don't normally see a show until the season is almost through, but this year they have been airing sort of like the Us. and i realllllllly don't like it.

It seems weird, 2 episodes of The Office in January, one week off and then it's on again.

Well, that's actually pretty normal for a show. They go on a holiday hiatus around the middle of December until the middle of January. Then they are off for a week to gear up for February sweeps.
