Phyllis' Moroccan-themed holiday party goes up in flames when Meredith's hair catches on fire and Michael is forced to deal with the accident.
Meanwhile, Dwight corners the market on the hottest toy of the Christmas season.

I'm curious about the hottest toy Dwight brings to the Office. The adjective hot can have a whole different meaning in the Schrutes' dictionary

I hate to say it, but this was a bit disappointing. I think I had too high expectations, because I did laugh a lot. I just was expecting more because it's their Christmas episode. Anyway, I loved everything Dwight, Toby, Andy, and Jam. The Phyllis/Angela interaction was awesome in the beginning, but I hated the ending. I wasn't expecting Phyllis to just blurt it out, but I understand that she couldn't take it. Plus, she looked really guilty at the end. I hate, hate, hate that everyone knows now except for Andy. That's the worst. It's even worse than before. I think that's part of the reason this episode left me feeling this way. Andy's total love and I hate this storyline to pieces. It's just not right.

I loved all the Meredith stuff in the beginning. It was hilarious seeing her all drunk and everything. That subplot began to get dry during the whole intervention, but Dwight and Creed, along with the Toby disapproval, kind of saved it. However, I had to laugh when Michael was chasing Meredith in the parking lot and then proceeded to drag her in.

Those two have such funny interaction. I also love everything Dwight/Meredith. Just gold. I loved him rushing in with the fire extinguisher when her hair caught on fire.

It's so Dwight.

There are other things I loved like Andy and the sitar.

He's so freaking adorable. Gah. I did laugh, though, when Jim asked him if he takes requests and then requested that he stop.

Oh, and I also loved when Pam asked Jim to stop rubbing the genie lamp so creepily.

Something else I loved was Kelly texting, because it seems like an inside joke for Mindy since she's obsessed with her phone.

Anyway, for a regular Office episode, I really did like it.

Wow it was a pretty dark episode. Especially for a Christmas episode. Interventions, affairs revealed, a chase in a rehab parking lot. Wow! Not my favorite episode. I was hoping for something a little more up beat.

Still there were some laugh out loud moments. Like Michael thinking an intervention is like a surprise party, Dwight's wrapped desk, Dwight giving tips on how to kill a zombie, Michael hitting Toby in the head with the pen.

Still need to watch the entire episode. When I finally found a place to watch the episode directly from NBC, my internet connection failed, so I lost most of it

Amanda, that's my biggest problem with the episode. It was really dark for a Christmas episode. An intervention should have been in another episode.

Cris, that sucks. I hope you get to watch it soon!

Yeah I totally agree. The Christmas episode was not the time to do a Meredith intervention. Plus I felt like the whole intervention period lasted way too long.

I was just over at OfficeTally and this episode is the lowest ranked episode in the fan rankings poll. I'm not surprised at all.

I was kinda scared to come into this thread, because I too was disappointed in the episode. It was a very serious topic and I really just didn't find it all that funny, whcih is saying a lot.

I can't believe Phylis finally told on Angela.
