Anyone else notice that Andy is wearing Jeans in the promo pics? That's not appropriate work attire!

Andy is always wearing something different. Like in last week's episode where he was wearing what looked like plaid pants.

I noticed the plaid pants look-a-like. It cracked me up when I saw that. An hour and a half left for me!

That's so true, Liz!

I love how the discussion went to Andy's wardrobe choices!

I think that tonight's episode was great. John was rediculously adorable in this episode!

Tonights episode was hilarious. The cold open was the greatest thing I have ever seen. Mainly cause I do the same thing, stare at the bouncy square waiting for it to go into the corner.

Jam's date was the cutest, and their talk about when they first knew that they liked one another.

I felt so horrible for Dwight. He's really let himself go, notice the unshaven look? And then Andy?! That Angela is quite the heart-breaker.

Loved
Jim and Pam and their rooftop date. Loved how they both remembered their first moments with each other. And the toast was cute.

Loved Pam saying that the girlfriend gets the tiebreaker.

Michael saying Pam and Jim have their own little language. They really do and their looks were great after Michael asked them about NYC.

Angela being super bitchy tonight. I guess that's how she's dealing with the breakup. She was gold in all her scenes.

Andy's attempts to get Angela. The best thing being him serenading her. Loved it! And Angela's cute little smile as she walked away.

Michael and Dwight imitating Ryan. So awesome. And Michael saying Ryan was hot towards the end of that and having nowhere to go after that.

Darryl standing up for Kelly was kind of hot. And it made Kelly forget about Ryan for a minute. I liked that scene alot.

Ryan's wink at the camera at the end.

Stanley bobbing his head..........dancing as Phyllis said to the website music.

Cross-posted from my LJ and the Office board

I didn't take notes this week since I finally figured out how to hook up my VCR to tape off my TV. Yay! So, it's all from memory after one viewing.

This was the first episode that felt like it should have been half an hour without losing anything. There was a lot going on, but a lot of it didn't have the payoff I'm used to.

I think there was a lot of missed comedy with the webcam storyline and Michael and way too much time spent on Michael KIDNAPPING a pizza kid with no real comedy payoff. I think they need to reign Michael in a bit because between him "accidentally" driving his car into a lake and "accidentally" holding a kid hostage for a few hours, he's starting to become a little too cartoonish. He had some really great moments without being so broad. I liked Michael's invitation to Jim and Pam to join him in NYC and his cute "voiceover" of Jim's goodbye to Pam. I really liked that he was trying to get the pizza that the office workers liked, but ended up being wrong because that's such a Michael thing. I really hope that he calms down as the season goes.

The first half of the episode was REALLY strong to me. I loved each of the storylines. I loved the Meredith asked Jim to sign her cast and I loved that Jim actually did - he's such a puppy sometimes! She was appropriately inappropriate and creepy I loved the Phyllis was trying to deal with Angela in a new way and how Angela could lay the smackdown to everyone. When Angela starts speaking to Phyllis like she's 4 years old, I was laughing until I was crying! Awesome! I was kinda disappointed that Michael was the one to suggest that Dwight would be outsold by the website (for the moment), but I loved that Andy got into it and created the whiteboard score sheet. Oh and I loved that Stanley loves the website music! That was such a cute throwaway moment!

And then Jim and Pam reunited for a fabulous prank! I was a little surprised that Dwight didn't think to question if it was Pam since the IM didn't come until Jim went over to PAM's desk and by the end you could clearly hear her typing (as the only sound in the office) before the message came up. It was a great prank to freak Dwight out though. "What is a Jim?" Hee! And I love how Pam still has a soft spot for Dwight and him going through the break up, so she gives him the sweet message at the end. Love Pam!

Now, I love Angela - LOVE HER - but I've always thought that her party planning storylines were best kept as a background story. It seemed like she was repeating herself - and did she have only two weeks (as said in the first half) or three weeks (as said in the second half) to plan this party? I was really hoping to see more of a reaction from her about the break up with Dwight. Dwight has totally let himself go (which is awesome from a character standpoint - just him not shaving sends such a great visual message about where he is), but Angela seemed just the same. And then she seemed to be trying to hurt Dwight. I know he killed her cat, but that was still sad.

We got some great Jim/Pam stuff tonight and I think they've finally found the balance about how to deal with the romance without making the show about it. I found it interesting that Pam was at Dunder Mifflin before Jim started. I always thought it was the other way around. Now I'm curious how that first "date" at Cugino's happened. I really loved their "moments" and that Jim wants his changed (because it's so dorky and slightly stalker-y, but in a cute way!). Very nice call back to their second first "date" in "The Client." I guess now I know why Jim and Pam weren't in the promo photos of the conference room party. It was a cute toast by Jim. I do hope we start seeing more sweetness from Pam in coming episodes. It seems like even though they are together, Jim is still the one who is kinda putting himself out there more than Pam is. Or maybe John is just too expressive. I dunno, just the way it seems from here.

I wish we could have seen more of Michael and Jim in the car. Jim was disappointing me a little with not having a good excuse lined up to get him and Pam out of dinner with Michael and Jan. It seems like he should have had one of those in reserve from the moment that Michael found out about them. I still feel like there was some good conversation between them that we missed out on.

Great throwaway scene by Kevin, Oscar and Stanley about looking up "accomplices" and jail time. That cracked me up probably more than it should.

And my favorite non-Jim/Pam scene was Andy calling his a cappella buddies to sing "Take A Chance On Me" to Angela! That was the cutest thing ever! I don't want them to hook up, but Andy seemed like he was genuinely trying and not just trying to hook up because he can. I could watch that over and over again.

Overall, I laughed at some random places but this was the first episode of the season where I didn't feel like I need to go back and watch it again right away. I have REALLY high hopes for next week from the title and the promo stills, so fingers crossed!

I can't believe I forgot the cold open! That was the AWESOMEST! My DVD player has an oval, so I never get that perfect moment, but I have to admit when the scene started, that's what I was paying attention to instead of Michael. And then when Jim ducked his head down and it seemed like everyone else was looking at something, I was like, "wait, are they looking at the DVD thingy too?" I couldn't believe it! It was too funny! I love how oblivious Michael is too

I loved them stealing sushi in NYC and eating it on the hood of Dwight's car. There's something so perfect about that. I missed what Michael said to bring the imitations to a halt, but that makes perfect sense

Darryl was awesome - I missed him last week! And Kelly did snot to Ryan last week that she's been dating a lot of black guys - I wonder if Darryl is next

I’m late! I got caught up in ER and Cheers.

First off, I loved the first two minutes. Creating the TV screensaver game that all the employees play, because Michael goes on and on was great. Those meetings must go on for a long time and it was just hilarious. I loved how Michael remained clueless and that Jam bit was too cute. Plus, I felt really satisfied with the scene once they finally saw it go into the corner. Maybe that’s just me.

Onto my girl, Kelly. I loved the whole memo bit where Kelly asked if it said whether Ryan was seeing anyone and Stanley said, “Please let us know.” That killed me! Stanley may only have a few lines, but he just kills. I also loved when Darryl defended Kelly. I would have never paired them, but it was a cute scene. I am still a big Kryan shipper, but I think someone as cool and loved as Darryl might just be the right person to make Ryan a little jealous. I sure hope so! (Oh, and Miss Kapoor?! )

I need to talk about Dwight now. He stood out again. Challenging a computer is very…Dwight, but it was so in an endearing way, and not just funny. He’s still trying to prove himself and it’s so sad. Even after he beat the computer his happiness was so short-lived. That really got me! He spent the whole day and only got two minutes of satisfaction. For that reason, Angela frustrated me. Besides her bonus anger, there hasn’t been much of a change. Dwight, on the other hand, even looks like he’s having a hard time with the scruffy do. I just don’t know. I love Angela and I thought she was hilarious, but I want to see some remorse or sadness over the loss of her relationship. They dated for two years. There’s repressing emotion and then there’s her. I hope we see a change soon. Something to show Dwight besides rejecting Andy.

On that note, Andy was just awesome tonight. I’m so glad we got more singing. That was such an awesome and sweet scene. I just wish it were directed to someone else. In my eyes, she’s unavailable. Anyway, he definitely tried really hard tonight and you could see that he finally got to her. She had a cute little smile creep up. She probably walked away so no one would see that. Poor Dwight. I just love him so!

I love Michael. I really do, but holding a pizza boy hostage? C’mon! I do understand, though. He really snapped with the whole Ryan/NY party thing and he took out all his aggression on that annoying little boy (I wanted to push him. I just did. He was seriously irritating!) One of my favorite scenes was that last one of Michael and Dwight. Out of everyone (even Creed), they feel the most threatened by the website. They’re both great salesman and I feel for them, especially Dwight. Oh, and on a random note, I really want sushi now! Mmm!

Some bits I loved was the whole mini-storyline with Phyllis and Angela. I was totally rooting for Phyllis as Angela has been making her feel awful since the beginning. Plus, how awesome to see Phyllis throwing the crumpled paper in Angela’s face?! I adore her so much!

I also liked that random scene where Jim kept mocking Andy and Andy just wanted to make sure. I really liked that for some reason even though it wasn’t entirely necessary.

Oy! More about Dwight. I felt really bad for his 13 plaques in 12 years bit. Instead of a pay raise they gave him a second plaque? That’s funny and sad at the same time.

I loved the Jam prank on Dwight. He was a little naïve not to suspect Pam, but I’ll let it sly because it was pretty funny. Not the prank to end all pranks, but I laughed a lot, especially with the Staples part. The ending to the prank was sweet, though. Pam is such an amazing character. I just wanted to hug them both with that: “You beat me. You are the superior being.” It made me want to cry. That’s one of the things I love so much about Jim and Pam. They’re both really fun and playful, but they’re also the sweethearts of the show. One minute they can be making fun of you (in an innocent kind of way) and the next, they’re the ones that are trying to cheer you up. I love them! And I loved all their scenes.

Lastly, I want to end with the beautiful roof scene. I have to watch it again as I kept remembering “The Client.” It was sweet to bring that roof love back. It’s just so awesome to think about everything that’s happened since the last time we saw them up there. Anyway, I liked how they snuck away and I loved their talk about when they knew…. I can’t wait until next week!

Oh, Stanley was killing me tonight! He seemed to have all the good one-liners and throwaways tonight (as opposed to Kevin in the last two episodes).
