What did you guys think of Jim's "road trip?" Do you think it was just Roy getting to him or do you think there's something else at work there? Do you think he got embarrassed by the camera witnessing his jealous or do you think he really doesn't think he and Pam are "that couple?"

You know, that's actually a really good question Jenn. I think that Roy was just trying to hide the fact that he was jealous to the cameras.

I think it was a mix of both. I'm feeling some insecurity on Jim's part. As much as he is truly happy for Pam, he misses her and Roy's comment just made it worse. But when he turned around, I don't think it was because of the cameras, I think he realized he was going too far.

I've gotta agree with Cris on this. Whenever someone's far away and having fun without you, it's easy to think that they don't even miss you and have replaced you already. I haven't had a long distance relationship but I remember feeling similar when my friends and I scattered the state for colleges and trying to call and talk to each other never worked well and it was always how great these new people were and they were so much fun, etc. Since he hasn't made the effort to get closer to anyone else in the office, he doesn't have that so he has all the time to think about it.

As for him turning around, I think it was just him remembering and realizing the fact that it's Pam and she never sets out to hurt anyone. Especially anyone that means something to her.

^^ Exactly Sara. I had been in a long distance relationship when my boyfriend (husband now) had to work in another city and it was hard sometimes. Your life is pretty much the same and the other person's is changing. It can be confusing...

Well... next week will be the Halloween episode. I'm hoping to see a JAM scene for a change. No phone calls

I left this as a response to a comment on my LJ about the last episode, but I think it applies here too.

I was definitely glad he turned around, but I was kinda mad that Roy got to him at all. I know that long-distance relationships are hard, especially when only one person is having the "excitement" happening to them. But it "should" be almost time for Pam to come home. And while, yes, Jim is her friend, but the difference between when Pam was with Roy and when Pam is with Jim is that Pam is "allowed" to have more than one friend. And she was going out with her art school friends - that, of course, by now, he must have met because she's been there over two months and probably gone out with himself - so I don't know why he didn't just explain that to Roy instead of getting paranoid and driving to NYC. I mean, at this point, I'd be expecting that Pam was coming home since she left in July and it's almost November and it was only supposed to be 3 months. I know Roy has a way of getting to Jim that probably no one else could, but I still that it was really random for him to be freaking out.

Yeah, when you think about the timeline, it is weird, cause Pam should have come home already.

So tomorrow the Halloween episode! Can't wait to see Pam's costume, since we already know Jim is dressed as 'Dave'

I hope we get some good interaction between Jim and Pam in this episode. I can't believe they haven't had scenes of them together since Weight Loss. Pam can come back to Scranton anytime now.
