I actually didn't see it as Jim lying to Pam. After he was just given a "formal warning" about goofing around with Dwight and the time he spends at reception, I totally get why his first impulse wasn't to get up and go to reception to tell Pam what happened. And it's totally not the kind of thing for him to throw out to her across the office. Perhaps they IMed about it or he sent her an email that he couldn't talk right then. Michael joked about it in "Launch Party" but they do have a silent communication thing.

From my viewing, she joked with him a bit, but she definitely noticed that something happened he couldn't talk about. Fancy New Beesly definitely wasn't going to let that go and I'm sure that once they left for the day, she got him to talk about what happened and what they are going to do about it. Him not meeting her eyes when he came out of that conference room is almost as plain as if he spelled the whole thing out for her.

Jim's got big problems and big plans and those two things are surely going to come to a head sooner rather than later. I think the strength of their relationship is the only thing that's going to keep him afloat when they do.

I agree, Jenn. I didn't think it was a lie. Just think he had plenty on his mind in that moment and the office wasn't the appropriate place to talk about the formal warning.

Yeah, I definitely see it being something that you can't shout out in front of the entire office. Hopefully they did talk about it though.

Loved the awkwardness after the kiss, since they realized they were being filmed. The handshake was cute, then "screw that" and we had that amazing kiss, very Casino Night-like.
