Okay, so Time-Enough.net has Jim/Pam screen caps up and here's what we see of Pam's face after Jim walks away from reception:

And then it's a quick cut to Jim's talking head with the ring. So, yeah, I see it as her processing that he's not kidding and wow, he's going to propose soon. If there's a "concerning" face we should be worried about, I think it's this one:

That's not exactly "OMG! Yay! My boyfriend is going to propose right now!" to me, but YMMV.

I think so too.

Thanks for the caps, Jenn, they're amazing.

It seems like shes more in disbelief and shocked that he was actually going to do it.

I think so too. She seems shocked to see him doing that on the street. And the fact she playfully said "I hate you" and not "Thank God, you scared me" makes me think she's not that against the idea either. She was the one to bring up the engagement as a condition to live together with someone...

But I do think it's very soon... I want to see more of their relationship, we still need to see a fight, a make-up, more than the first stage of any relationship.

I'm still hoping that we get a fight. I know its wrong to say but I want, no NEED to see that the relationship isn't as perfect as they are making it out to be. Even though they are absolutely adorable.

I was thinking about what would happen if they fought. Do you think Pam would go back to button down shirts and her old hair?

I know what you mean Jory. I think we need to see them as real as possible.

Sara, I don't think we will see old Pam ever again...

Well, and the timeline just doesn't make sense either. If they got together in May, were found out in October (since the show is supposed to occur in "real time"), then the dinner party was in November. Even if it's been "a few weeks" that only makes it the middle of December (which it obviously isn't by Pam's coat at the end), but still. They haven't been together for a full year.
Yeah, I guess that's true. I was surprised when they said only a month will have passed between Dinner Party and Parking since that doesn't take us into real time. Is there another time jump coming up I wonder.

AND she probably knows that her only option is to say 'yes,' so she needs to prepare herself mentally for that. Because though I hope it's happened and we just haven't seen it, there's been no fight, no test of their relationship (except perhaps Jim seeing Karen in Utica, but that's not really a "test"). She may realize that perhaps Jim is just waiting for the other shoe to drop and if she turned down his proposal with even a "not yet," it would break his heart.
I just said on The Office board that I can understand Pam feeling it's too soon or not being ready yet. But, if that's the case I would hope she would talk to Jim about it knowing that he's going to propose because that will really suck if she waits until he proposes and then can't make herself say yes. But, after reading this and some of your other comments I guess I can understand why it wouldn't be the easiest thing for Pam to say to him.......especially after he put it all out there like that.

Sara - I don't think so. I think new Pam is here to stay.

I'm sure the writers have something huge in store. I'm so impatient to find out.

I really hope there isn't. I'll give up my timeline beef if they make me laugh enough to not notice it - trust me! But I'd guess there has to be for them to get us all the way to "real time." And didn't I read somewhere that they were actually going to mention the strike in some way? Hmmm....

I think this would be a lot easier for me to get excited about if they would have given Pam her damn "moment" already! It's always been obvious that Jim is in love with her; it's always been her. But Pam - while we got some crying and some pining and some studying the back of his neck in season three, the most we got on Beach Day was that she missed having fun with him and that she canceled her wedding for him. Which was fabulous - don't get me wrong, I LOVED that part and I watch it over and over again - but it wasn't "I'm in love with you, Jim" or her coming into the office bent on kissing his breath away. I want to believe that she loves him just as much as he loves her, but we just haven't had a chance to see it. I also want to believe that if Pam wasn't ready for the question, they went home that night and discussed it like adults.

And I have to agree that Pam's face in the second set of screen caps is more O.M.G. he's really doing this than oh, crap, he's really doing this. I mean, if they hadn't talked about moving in or marriage yet, then it would be really huge for him to bring it up after lunch and propose after work all in the same day.

I think we're still missing pieces from the puzzle, which is to be expected with 3 episodes before the finale. I mean in season 2, the episode in this position (with three more episodes to go before "Casino Night") was "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" and in season 3 it was "Safety Training." By that point in those seasons, we had NO IDEA what was coming for us in the finales. And so, even though this whole ring/proposal fake out thing sorta scares me, I'm really excited about what we can't even imagine yet!

Yep, I remember hearing this several times. I thought maybe they just changed their minds, but maybe it's still coming so we get back into real time at some point. Seems kind of weird though that they would jump twice instead of once.

I'm with you on that. It's one of the things that has bothered me. I do believe she loves him of course but I hate that we haven't seen it in the same degree as we have on Jim's side. But, again it goes back to us not seeing their talk/date after the finale and any of the beginning of their dating relationship. But, you'd think the writers could have done something big for us to see. And hey maybe we'll still get it. I don't know.

I would hope so, but I can't help being a bit worried.

I have to think based on what we've seen that they haven't talked about it.

I agree that some of it stems from not getting to see them in the summer. BUT even since we've seen them, most of the relationshippy stuff comes from Jim. He grabs her hand in 'Fun Run,' kisses her in 'Money' (and does a talking head about loving her), brings her breakfast in 'Local Ad' and now shows us the ring. Pam initiated the stay at Schrute Farms, but other than that, we haven't really seen her "loving" Jim.

Again, I'm not saying she doesn't love him, but we just don't have the "moments" to point to like we do with Jim. Sometimes it even comes off like she likes that he loves her more than she actually loves him, which I'm sure isn't the case.

At the same time, though, I don't want the show to get into a pattern of "nothing" all year and then at the end, Pam makes a big statement in one episode followed by Jim making a big statement in the finale.

i really dont believe that jim loves pam more than pam loves jim or vice versa. pam, generally, at least in my opinion, just seems like a person that doesnt express her feelings as much as jim. i really believe that pam and jim love each equally...

well, thats my two cents! hihi..

Yep. I'm not trying to be nitpicky or anything, but this does bother me sometimes. I'd like to see just as much from Pam's side. There's no reason we shouldn't now that they're together.

I'm with you on that. The little stuff throughout the season is good for me.......the good and the bad. Not just save up something huge for the finale.

I guess Pam not being expressive could be a big part of it. She has changed and progressed in that reguard some but it's still an ongoing journey for her I'm sure.
