Pam: I haven’t heard anything. But I bet Jim got the job. I mean, why wouldn’t he? He’s totally qualified, and smart, everyone loves him. And if he never comes back again, that’s okay. We’re friends. And I’m sure we’ll stay friends. We just … we never got the timing right. You know? I shot him down, and then he did the same to me, but you know what? It’s okay. I am totally fine. Everything is going to be totally …
(Jim enters the room)
Jim: Pam. (To camera) Sorry. Um, are you free for dinner tonight?
Pam: Yes.
Jim: All right. Then it’s a date.
Pam: I’m sorry, what was the question?

Pam: Hey, I want to say something. I’ve been trying to be more honest lately and I just need to say a few things. I did the coal walk! Just, I did it. Michael, you couldn’t even do that. Maybe I should be your boss. Wow, I feel really good right now. Why didn’t any of you come to my art show? I invited all of you. That really sucked. It’s like sometimes, some of you act like I don’t even exist. Jim, I called off my wedding because of you. And now we’re not even friends. And things are just like weird between us, and that sucks. And I miss you. You were my best friend before you went to Stamford. And I really miss you. I shouldn’t have been with Roy, and there were a lot of reasons to call off my wedding. But the truth is, I didn’t care about any of those reasons until I met you. And now you’re with someone else, and that’s fine. It’s … whatever. That’s not what I’m … I’m not … okay my feet really hurt. The thing that I’m just trying to say to you, Jim, and to everyone else in the circle I guess, is that I miss having fun with you. Just you, not everyone in the circle. Okay, I am gonna go walk in the water now. Yeah, it’s a good day.

Jim: I'm in love with you.
Pam: What?
Jim: I'm really sorry if that's weird for you to hear, but I needed you to hear it. Probably not good timing, I know that, I just...
Pam: What're you doing? What do you expect me to say to that?
Jim: I just needed you to know. Once.
Pam: Well I um, I...I can't.
Jim: Yeah.
Pam: You have no idea...
Jim: Don't do that.
Pam: ...what your friendship means to me.
Jim: C'mon. I don't wanna do that. I wanna be more than that.
Pam: I can't. I'm really sorry if you misinterpreted things. It's probably my fault.
Jim: Not your fault. I'm sorry I misinterpreted uh, our friendship.

Jim: To tell you the truth, I used to have a big thing for Pam...she's really funny and she's warm, she's just...

Jim: What does Roy think about everything?
Pam: I don't know, I try not to bother him about this kind of stuff.
Jim: You mean like your thoughts and your feelings?
Pam: Yeah.

Pam: Jim is great. Being with him just takes away all the stress of planning my wedding.

Pam: I'm sorry for pushing you toward Cumberland. Seriously, if you left here I'd blow my brains out.
Jim: [in interview] That's just a figure of speech, ya know? Blow your brains out, c'mon. All it really means is that we're friends. Who else is she gonna talk to if I'm gone, right? I mean, if she left I wouldn't blow my brains out. Of course I would take that job in Maryland because it's double the pay and soft shell crab just happens to be my favorite food.

Once again I wish there'd been more Jam. i swear if they cut something else this week. :/ I hope they're not supposed to still be tense from that fight we never saw.

But I did so love Jim and Pam being all parental and helping Michael with the bike. That cracked me up.

I enjoyed the bike bit but from Benihana Christmas, we all know Michael can ride a bike. Sure he bumped a wall when he rode it into the office, but he can still ride. Hate continuity errors.

LOL OMG! I forgot about that! Even though it was one my favorite scenes. lol

I couldn't figure out why Danny and Pam seemed to have different takes on why their relationship fizzled. That kinda annoyed me. I wish we knew when they dated. :/

Well, she said 4 years ago so S3. Makes sense. She was single.

I think she said one thing so that Jim never felt threatened and he said something else to make him jealous. Just a guess though.

I don't know. In the TH she said he didn't call and he said she didn't seem interested. By saying she liked him and he didn't call her back, she makes it seem like she would have kept going out with him. :/ I just didn't like that. I liked Danny's comment that she didn't seem into him though. Maybe we'll find out at some point she talked about Jim a lot or something. I don't know. I just didn't like her comment. LOL

Or maybe it's the decades long soap opera fan in me coming out and looking at it from a soap stand point. I need to stop that! LOL

In my own mind, they dated after she saw that dud in The Convention and before she talked to Jim in The Initiation. Then once she talked to him again, no other man could compare and it "fizzled" as they put it.
