A little early to be posting the episode thread, but I'm too excited! LOVE the cutesy Jim/Pam hand-holding! And I'm really excited to have the rest of the cast back for this episode - can't wait to see Andy and Kevin team up to defend the office!

I'm excited to see the rest of the office too. And the Jim/Pam hand holding is so freaking adorable.

Maybe it is early to have the episode up, but I'm still on a complete Office/Jam high that I don't mind at all.

I found another promo on youtube....that is Office specific, and even has my favorite "While romance is right for some..." with JAM hand-holding!

Big development for JAM.

The two of them had me squeeing and cracking up tonight. Pam playing along with Dwight and Michael when they were getting on Jim about being insensitive about the chair model. The whole slob thing. Jim saying he was going to propose. Jim having bought the ring one week after they started dating. The hand holding. The laughing. Awwwwwwwwwww

I was dieing when Dwight was talking about Michael needing closure and they show up at the graveyard because of course my mind was thinking of Jan but they were talking about the chairmodel.

Andy dancing in the parking lot.

The whole Wendy (Wendy's) thing cracked me up. And then later Michael saying what's her name? Burger King?

Kevin/Andy teaming up was cool.

Loved the little Creed moments.

Still no Kelly or Ryan so I'm a bit bummed. Not much Stanley either, but he did have some great expressions/looks tonight.

Pam setting Michael up with her landlord.

This was a fun episode and felt like the Office we all know and love. Last week had it's moments but was kind of dark.

This episode was rumored to be an idea for the potential spinoff...........I'm assuming one of the other businesses that we saw DM shares the office park with.

And awww Stacy/Kevin are no more. Wasn't expecting that. I'm glad Kevin won one with the whole parking thing.

Dwight/Michael singing in the graveyard.

Loved it!

Cross-posted from my LJ

Just like beginning of this season, the first episode was totally awesome and the one that followed was a letdown. I was MUCH less interested in Michael's dating life and MUCH more interested in seeing Andy and Kevin save the parking spaces. From the episode description, it seemed like there was going to be some sort of gang land war over the parking spaces between the professionals in the building and I was super psyched to see it. But then the episode title got changed and I can only assume the editing room flipped the position of the storylines. Pity

I'm also guessing this is the beginning of the time jump, but there was no mention of the timeline at all, which bugged me. I guess we assume that Michael kicked Jan out? Or he's still staying with Dwight? Or something? And if I'm thinking about the time line, it means the episode isn't that funny. I chuckled a few times, but I wasn't cracking up. The scene where Michael asks the office to write down some names? WAY too long! Reminded me of the hour-long episodes where the scenes just went on too long. And then it seemed like it was cut funny where they would cut to a shot of the other office workers, but for no reason. They kept cutting to Kelly standing near Stanley, but they never said anything. I think this may be the second episode where Kelly hasn't said ANYTHING (maybe one line? I can't remember). Weird.

I liked the idea of Andy and Kevin teaming up to save the office. I really, really, really wish that had been played up more. I loved when Phyllis told Andy to call when he got there so they'd know he was alive. That got me Oh, and the chair that the model was sitting in - those chairs are SWEET! The chair of the dept I used to work in had one and I loved it! I cracked up that Creed is going to get Pam's chair when Pam gets Michael's chair - that's totally the way it works in all the offices I've been in

And of course, Jim/Pam. *happy sigh* They are still sorta disgustingly cute, which should bug me, but tonight, they were the best thing about the episode, so it won't. They were too cute in the break room with Jim writing down Pam's mom - that's the kind of moment that I'd really like to see more of as we go further. Just fun and joking around.

I'm torn between fangirl squeeing about the fact that Jim has a ring already and feeling like we've missed all the good stuff. I did like the whole moving in convo though. It seemed very natural instead of weird that they were talking about moving in and engagements at work (not usually an at work convo IMHO). And I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the proposal fake out! I was screaming and then laughing so hard. Jim is awesome!

But before we get to rings and moving in, shouldn't they have a fight or saying 'I love you' or you know any of those other relationship milestones? How long have they been dating? I'm so confused! I'm happy, but I'm a little disappointed too. I think tonight I'll just concentrate on the squee to fall asleep on

I enjoyed Dinner Party but I didn't love it............it fell in more with Phyllis' Wedding and Gay Witch Hunt to me which are a couple of my least favorite eps. I liked it more than those two though and it even had some great moments but overall I didn't love it. I liked this one alot more. I had a few issues with it and I did expect more from the Kevin/Andy and other businesses plotline, but overall it was pretty great. It was nice for Kevin to get a chunk of the spotlight and get some more material/depth to work with.

If those other businesses have anything to do with the spinoff it was pretty disappointing and I don't know how nbc would anticipate any kind of reaction when we hardly saw or learned anything about them. That whole plotline with Andy/Kevin and the other business managers was really brief. I'm guessing it was cut/edited down alot.

I want Ryan, but I know that's coming next week. And boo for no Kelly in this ep really.

Oh perfect episode IMHO.
I actually enjoyed it more than Dinner Party.

Loved the office setting, greater use of the cast, Michael and Dwight interaction, Michael and Phyllis interaction, and PB&J squeeage. Plus it was a veritable quote fest.
Perfection.

I'm with you Deb. I actually enjoyed this episode more than Dinner Party as well. I just thought it was a great in general. All of the scenes were perfect to me, and the fact that Andy/Kevin teamed up was totally made of win. And John and Jenna's performances were absolutely amazing in my opinion.
