I just got home from errands after work to find this story has taken over my f-list on LJ. I never liked him, but I just can't believe it. I mean, he's my age and he has a little kid. Just awful!

Oh I know! It's so sad.

I was at my radio station and heard about it at about 3:45 through our AP wire thing. Not an hour and a half after I found the news out it was all over. It's so depressing. Why must they do that to themselves? I mean, is their life that bad they have to pop pills or whatever just to die?

I'm surprised at how hard it hit me. He has never been on my favorite actor list, but I always thought he was talented and enjoyed watching him onscreen. Plus I'm not that much older than him. Just tragic. My heart definitely goes out to him and his family and Michelle and their daughter.

It seems to be an accidental overdose but who knows. I guess Heath was alot more shocking to me than Brad Renfro who I knew struggled with drinking/drugs, etc. I have no idea if Heath struggled with those things.

I didn't know that either. It makes me wonder if that's why he and Michelle split last year.

I enjoyed him in 10 Things I Hate About You (which I think is the only thing I've seen him in). I know that he was a jerk to my ex-bf when staying at a hotel where my ex worked. That's pretty much all I know about him.

It was mildly shocking to hear that Brad had died, but Heath dying reminds me so much of when River Phoenix died. I just can't really believe it.

In the words of Michael Scott, I'm not superstitious, but I'm a little stitious. These things seemed to come in threes and I'm nervous about what member of Young Hollywood may be in car accident or plane crash this coming week or next.

Could be. There was speculation about that.

From what I've been hearing he had alot of anxiety and problems sleeping which is where the pills came into place............apparently for quite awhile.

Heath has really had some teriffic performances/movies over the years.

Interesting. Always interesting to hear people's run ins with celebrities.

It just felt unreal to me when I heard and I'm still kind of stunned.

I know what you mean! I mean I hope that's not the case, but gosh, I don't know.

Yeah, apparently, it was just after he finished that 'First Knight' or whatever movie and was really drunk and belligerent. Did the whole "Do you know who I am?!" thing. But maybe he grew up in recent years. Still so sad.

I am a little superstitious. My grandmother and her two remaining siblings (a brother and a sister) all died within three months last year.

Ashleigh Aston Moore died last month of an overdose. She was 26. I've never seen Now and Then, but she played the younger version of Rita Wilson's character.

Terrible about Heath Ledger, though I never saw one of his movies I can only hope his family and friends are coping well.

And it is definitely getting cold in NY. I walk outiside today to get my mom a birthday present, scarf and all, still end up with a cough. How cruel...

I know its depressing and its whats going on right now, but its just oh so sad! We need some happy news around here!

I'm going to New York again this weekend.

A different friend is coming up to visit and we're going to try a bunch of gluten-free restaurants in the City. She has celiac disease, so she can't digest wheat.

It might make it above freezing on Sunday...so happy?

Sorry, I'm a little tired and I'm having a hard time coming up with happy, fluffy things

I think I need to go shopping again.
