| Yay, Corpsicle... and my pictures are baaaack!!! --- I love this section of flashbacks. It carries a lot of information, a lot of backstory that was hoped for. Already, more seeds are planted toward the revelation of Lily's secret. Excellently played by all. This shot here is just stunning.  Heartbreaking, Lil Chuck running after Lil Ned's car… and she speaks! Then, calling clear through time, Older Ned… awesome  SNOW!! And snowBALLS! Hee! Sorta gulped with Ned when Lily's gun peeked from the mail slot And the little squeaky "ned!" by Vivian… so sweet "You're being kind of urgent over there" is just so hilarious to me  Hurray for Friend!Olive!  @ poor Digby's shaved bum. "Did the vacuum take a bite out of you?"Olive actually calling Ned "The Pie Maker" came off as strange somehow Of course Olive doesn't believe the truth when it's given to her… *shakes head* Oh snap! High!Pie!  Poor sad!Ned…  )"I guess the dog's ass shavings will have to do." - made of freaking awesome! This whole bit here… the genius of Cheno… Olive Snook: Boy it's cold. [laughs] You know, you could use a witch's bosom as a hot water bottle on a day like today. Ned: Any sign of Chuck? Olive: [imitating Ned] And how are you today, Olive? Another lovely outfit for Chuck…  The Newsome family was just smacktastic… so I guess that grants a round of applause to the actors One thing that struck me with Abner is he seems almost overly contemporary in his attires, compared to everyone else… Once again, the knitting needles are put to use, breaking ice for Ned to reach an area to touch Now I'm very curious to find out the story behind how Chuck got the nickname Chuck I looooove the typewriter motif in the score for the Uber Life storyline. "Dead Like Them"… ha!  And a little Wonderfalls reunion for her and Lee! Also, Bobo the bonobo… sweet! Chi puts his part in for the kickass drama… Can't wait to see where the daughter storyline goes… The bit where Emerson worries he's been undeaded… hilarious Lily chows DOWN on the pie… *giggles* High!Lily is just awesome I hate that they don't have the transcript for Corpsicle yet… now I can't get this exact quote, but the one where the narrator says Emerson drew a conclusion, and Emerson says the thing about their being gigantic asses, and don't say ginormous 'cause it's not a word… Giggles! Killer killer… hee Bobo gets his wish!! The cemetery scene… so sad… Also, Charles Charles… poor kid And then… The Shocker... At that, I was so shocked I'd actually guessed correct, even though I was only sort of speculating at the time --- I'm gonna have to go start doing recaps for season 2 now | |||

| love this episode! love the tennessee williams reference, love how ned throws a snowball entirely out of character for him, love the way lee portrays sadness so amazingly with just his face, love the WONDERFALLS reference, love love love. that being said, not a fan of the oscar storyline. it works well with chuck at the time, but then he not only doesn't analyze her sample, we never see him again? i know it's all timing, but it makes me sad. | |||

| Total Fan | I love the episode and the reviews And I have more to say about the episode but there's something that's been nagging me since it aired. Oscar says to Chuck that he has a hypothesis about how cells are "marked with death" and he can smell ozone. I'm sure the writers took A LOT of creative liberties with that, but I always wondered why they chose ozone in particular. As far as I know cells don't produce ozone... do they? Does anyone here know anything about biology or chemistry or anything to answer that? Jen, weren't you a Bio major or am I mistaken? Anyone?  __________________ VOTE EARTHPushing Daisies ღ | |||

| Hm as far as I know...some cells do produce ozone to fight infections, I think some white blood cells have been shown to produce ozone. Ozone in the body is seen in programmed cell death and stimulation of certain immune system responses so there is a tie. I'll have to check to make sure the first part is true though __________________ the conflicted. | |||

| it's called "apoptosis" if you want to look further into it. Sometimes when cells become infected or there is something wrong during replication and growth, it will basically commit "suicide" which is beneficial for it and the body.
