The American version, I think. I think I read the UK audiobooks have another narrator.

Such a wonderful idea for a thread. Thank you for creating it! Jim Dale has one of the best narrating voices I have ever heard. He definitely has that unique, magical voice that is needed for this show.

My favorite narration so far:

Narrator: As he stared at her, he reached around his back and held his own hand, pretending he was holding hers. And at that very moment, she was pretending to be holding his.

Yes, the UK versions of the Harry Potter audiobooks are read by Stephen Fry.

I just love the narration on the show! It just really enhances the whole "experience" of watching Pushing Daisies for me. - And that one about holding hands, was super cute.

It really does. He has an amazing voice that adds so much to the magical feel of the show.

I love all of narrations and the way he phrases everything. But the one I always hear in my mind is "the facts were these..."

I tend to think for some reason that the narration during Olive's scenes is the best and funiest

"As she drew closer to the front door, Olive concidered the shear(?) number of crimes against delivery people and how they where on the rise"

That's cute. And who thinks that anyway? :-)

^ That's a good quote, as well. Olive is such a quirky character that the narration they write for her scenes just goes right along with her personality.

It's cool how the narration is third person omniscient. It just adds a bit more to the lines Jim Dale is already relaying to us.

There were some more great narrations in Wednesday's episode. This quote is probably my favorite one Jim Dale recited:

Narrator: And the pie maker realized that while some obstacles may not disappear... you can always find a way to work around them.

Such a lovely and simple narration, don't you think? That's what's wonderful about the narrations. They're short and simple, but they tell us a lot about the characters and what's going on in the scene.

THat was great.

I loved the narration in the dog scene in the beginning :-) Cute and funny

One line I laughed really hard at for some reason was:

"The piemaker and the girl he called Chuck..."

I love the way he talks about Ned as "The pie maker" It's so weird :-)

I just looked at Jim Dale's imdb.com page an it says he was in a movie called: Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World. Is Digby a common name for dogs?

That's awesome. I have no idea if Digby is a common name for dogs but it sure is a cute one.

My favorite bit of narration in the Girth episode:
" He missed something more than his past... his present"

Awwwwwww.
