The Goodbye Thread (The Pushing Daisies Board is Closing Sunday April 1st)
 

As discussed in this thread, Pelin & I have come to the sad conclusion that it is time to say goodbye to the Pushing Daisies board. The board will be closing this Sunday (April 1st). We felt it was best to leave on our terms & not be closed from inactivity which we felt would be likely to happen soon given the slowly dwindling activity here. Pushing Daisies is an amazing show which deserved to run for a lot longer than it did. At least the board here for it lasted for over 4 years (it would have been 5 in August this year). That is pretty good for a show which only had 2 seasons (& 22 episodes). This board is an amazing board & so are all the posters.



I've enjoyed posting here, & modding here. I would like to take the time to thank all of the posters (both past & present), as well as the past moderators (& all the MST members who've helped out) who've made this board what it is over the years.

Andrea, Julie, Aurora, Shari, Tara, Maria, Kelly, Elif, Touti, Sheida, & Pelin you're a group of wonderful people who I thank for all the posting you've done & I will miss posting with all of you here wishing for news about the comics (or a movie) & remembering what a wonderful show this was :group_hug:. Julie & Pelin you both were wonderful co-mods :hug:.



I'm sure that we will see each other around :ff: still, but here are a few places which can be considered Pushing Daisies related so we can make the show continue to live on here;

Thank you Andrea and Chelle for being great co-mods. Pelin, Aurora and others have been amazing to post with. And thanks to Katie and Moonie (who were mods here when I first posted on this board) for making me feel welcome here in the first place :group_hug:

It was always a delightful delight to post here with you guys :sigh: sorry I wasnt around more often but I even enjoyed creepily lurking all over you :)

This is sad news indeed, but at least this forum had a great run and I got to meet some wonderful people.

PD, you will always be in our hearts, if not on our computer screens. :)

I just read this while browsing through the boards here on :ff: and even though I have never watched PD or have posted on this board, I still really feel with all of you, especially Chelle, who has become a good :ff: friend over at the NCIS board :hug:

This must have been a very hard decision, but I admire both mods for having decided to close the board instead of having it closed due to little traffic.

Yes very hard, & very sad decision. I'm still crying & hurting over it (& by crying yes I literally was crying). It kills me to make this decision, & I'm pretty sure Pelin feels the same (however uni is killing her currently so she can barely post anyway). But I think the important thing to concentrate on here is this is on our terms, & we had a wonderful time here. All the posters here are amazing, & I happily would consider you all friends :group_hug:.

Julie, Andrea :hug: thank you both for making me feel welcome here, then I've already said it but you were a wonderful co-mod Julie so thank you :hug:. Then another hug for Pelin who was also a wonderful co-mod, even when she was being killed by uni :hug:

As mentioned (by the wonderful Elif who shouldn't apologise for anything :hug:) endings are where we begin. Maybe this will not be an ending, but rather a new beginning. :group_hug:

Steffi :back_hug:! Firstly thank you for stopping by, secondly you should watch PD :P. Seeing your post made me smile, actually all the posts in this thread make me smile (& cry) :group_hug:. (I do think you should watch PD though Steffi, I mean I watch both shows you mod for :lol: :P)

It is still really sad this board is going. I only recently found it and I didn't post often but everyone was so welcoming. I really wish I was part of this board in its hey day so I could have joined in on the theorizing and spoiler discussions.

Anyway just to say thanks and I truly believe it is a testament to you guys that this board has lasting so a long for a show that has been of the air for so long and a show that has so few episodes :mad:ABC.

Hehe, I remember it was on TV in Germany a while ago, but I never got round to watching it, and it was gone from the TV programme just after a few episodes :(

But I should really try and check it out :nod: I need something to watch during summer hiatus :)

Such a sad thing to happen, but very understandable. It was really great getting to know the people here. Thanks to the moderators. You guys did a wonderful job! :group_hug:

Yes Steffi you should try watching it when your shows go on hiatus, it is only twenty-two episodes :nod:.
