Episode Discussion 2x13: "Kerplunk" (June 13th)

-Episode description/promo pics to be added-

The finale! And our last discussion thread I hope everyone enjoyed it and that it left everyone with the most satisfying ending under the circumstances.

Moonie and I would like to ask that everyone try to keep most of the discussion about episodes 2.11-2.13 to the discussion threads, and use spoiler tags in other threads. This is to be fair to all the posters who either want to wait until the episodes air in the US or at least until there are undubbed versions.

I don't know about the end. It was a nice end, but I missed something, I think there's so much more to tell.

But I was really happy that Chuck and her aunts reunited

And I think I'm in love with Vivian and/or Olive, such great women, I mean both are troubled somehow but they're still so powerful.

Hm... I kinda liked the end, but... Like Kathi, I really missed some things... It was great that Emerson finally found Penny (well... Penny found Emerson ^^) and when Chuck met her aunts I couldn't stop crying... But altogether... I just wasn't satisfied with how it ended... I'm gonna miss it so much
And I still am in love with Olive <3

The end was too rushed indeed, but what can you expect when a show is cancelled after just 22 episodes. It deserved so much more episodes. I especially wanted to know more about their fathers. The end didn't sound like an end either...maybe we'll get more...somehow.

What happened to chucks father btw? i'm not sure if there was any closure in another episode and if there was an end to that sl i must have totally missed it.

and yeah i think the ending was pretty much rushed. like they wrote the ending after directing the actual episode. but its just my opinion-like ele said before there are so many stories left untold in pushing daisies..and i wasn't satisfied with the chuck/ned ending...

chuck's father? Don't you mean Ned's?
Chuck's died in the first episode

I just watched the last episode since I never watch German tv and didn't know when the episodes would air... but I loved it. Like everyone else said, it was too rushed and there are some SLs still open that I would've liked to continue but well, what can we do *sigh*

No we mean Chuck's father, don't you remember Ned reanimated him, but Chuck couldn't see him die again so she tricked Ned and hid her father in Ned's childhood house.

But yeah I'd like to knwo what happened to Ned's father too!

Well, since the ending could have been a fade to black on Chuck and Ned at Lily and Vivian's door, I liked the ending.

Oh gosh. I don't think I'd cried like this for a tv show since they killed Wesley on the Angel finale. I'm such a crybaby. I'll make a more coherent post later, but considering they had to re-edit the last scene with nothing but special effects and the narration, I thought it was beautiful. I was afraid I wasn't gonna like the ending, but I do. I kinda loved it *tears up*

They wrapped everything up so quick. I'd prefer it if they skipped the whole murder-solving part and made the episode show Olive/new guy (can't remember his name), Ned/Chuck growing as a couple (I don't think him putting her happiness over his own counts), some kind of nice scene with Ned/Olive and Chuck/Olive and the Emerson/daughter reunion. I also think they could've at least shown some kind of happy ending with Chuck's father - at the very least him sending her a card or something.

I think the ending sucked, but I guess it's still better than not getting an ending at all. So I'm relieved, at least.

I'm posting here instead of in the N/C thread so that no one gets spoiled.
I noticed we got:

a by-proxy hug (Pie-lette) and a real hug (The Legend of Merle McQuoddy)
by-proxy hand holding (The Norwegians) and real hand holding (Window dressed to kill)
and by-proxy high five (Bad Habits) and a real high five (Window dressed to kill)

The finale is just after airing in the UK.

GUH. I'm so sad right now. Especially the way they went to all those locations where episodes were set.

Of course the Vivian & Lily finding out about Chuck thing was meant to be a cliffhanger and continued on in season 3 so I'm bummed we didn't get to see more of that.

Actually, I'm bummed that we won't see more of the show. But, what can you do, eh?

The episode just finished in the UK, the episode was great! The ending not so much.. I just didn't like it, and it just flew straight over my head.. Too rushed. Definitely going to have to re-watch it a few times. I loved the Lily/Vivian/Chuck reunion. I get that it's really because it was cancelled though I'm sooo gonna miss it!
