Jacobi = Briscoe
Boxer = Logan Not an exact comparison but pretty darn close. Briscoe was even married more than once, like Jacobi, though Briscoe seemed to have given up on relationships while Jacobi hasn't. |

Law & Order detectives. Briscoe, played by the late Jerry Orbach, was on the show when Angie was there. Logan, played by Chris Noth, was gone by the time she arrived. Briscoe was the level headed older cop and Logan the younger, somewhat hot-headed one. He's now on Law & Order: Criminal Intent playing the older, somewhat level-headed cop and marveling at his transformation.

I loved them at the retirement home too! In general that episode was really fun!
I vaguely remember a line like that.. I wish I could remember it completely too! __________________

I saw the first attempt at adapting WMC to film over the weekend when I saw the TV Movie 1st to Die. While Boxer and Jacobi were still partners and friends, Jacobi's role was a lot less than what we see each week on the television series. I haven't read the books yet so I don't know which portrayal is closer to the written version.

It'd be interesting to see that movie.
I need to read one of the books, so I can compare it to the series. |

Tonight's repeat was the episode with the immediate aftermath of Lindsay and Tom sleeping together. I really liked how Jacobi handled his role as friend/partner/pseudo-dad to Lindsay. He showed his disapproval without lecturing.

After watching tonight's episode......just had to say that their friendship pawns! I mean I already thought that, [since the books] but now more than ever.
How amazing was the scene where Jacobi yelled at her about putting herself in so much danger by not telling him she could be a target for the kiss me not killer....? And how he said he loved her? Gah. So precious!!!! __________________

That scene of theirs totally rocked, I couldn't agree more. It was truly powerful
and how he said he loved her.. Truly perfect! They are also a magnificent team when they're at work. They understand each other so well __________________
