Dear Moonlight Community,

Over at Moonlight en Español we (Latinamerican and Spanish fans) have been discussing a world wide campaign to raise Moonlight awareness. We decided to organize one day where fans from around the world could make a monetary donation to the Red Cross in Moonlight's name. We suggest a monetary donation because this is more approachable than a blood drive, and this way the Red Cross can invest in what is necessary. The date we have set is the 28th of September, Moonlight's premier anniversary. The donations go from 0.50 cents to 50 dollars, which will go directly to the country's Red Cross. These donations can be made in a number of convenient forms depending on the country and/or region. This includes via a phone call, the Internet, and of course, at the local Red Cross headquarters.

This campaign is readily accessible to fans all over the world, and will take place in one specific day, the 28th. The plan is to draw media attention to the widespread nature of our donations. With events that are simultaneous and worldwide there is much more coverage and impact than if it were done locally, as it occurs, for example, with worldwide movie premiers. Therefore it is important to adhere to the date and make sure that our donations are done on time.

We have been asked to include copies of the campaign and to send them to major parties, such as Nina Tassler, Joel Silver, CBS, WBTV, etc. which we will gladly comply as soon as we have gathered the results.

We are still working to include more countries. So far we have contacted and recieved a positive response from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the UK, Australia and Latinamerica.

En Moonlight en Español nosotras (fans de Latinoamérica y España) estamos discutiendo una campaña a nivel mundial para lograr consciencia sobre Moonlight.

Decidimos organizar un d�*a en el cual fans de todo el mundo puedan llevar a cabo una donación monetaria a la Cruz Roja en nombre de Moonlight. Sugerimos una donación monetaria en lugar de una donación de sangre debido a que es más abordable, y de esta forma, la Cruz Roja puede invertir en lo que consideran necesario. La fecha que hemos fijado es el 28 de septiembre, el primer aniversario de Moonlight. Las donaciones van desde 0.50 centavos de dólar hasta 50 dólares, las cuales irán directamente a la Cruz Roja nacional. Estas donaciones pueden ser efectuadas en un numero de formas convenientes dependiendo del pa�*s y/o región. Estas incluyen v�*a una llamada telefónica, el Internet, y, por supuesto, en la cede local de la Cruz Roja.

Esta campaña es fácilmente accesible a los fans de el mundo y será llevada a cabo en un dia especifico, el 28. Nous avons décidé d'organiser une journée pendant laquelle les fans du monde entier peuvent effectuer un don monétaire �* la Croix-Rouge au nom de Moonlight. Nous suggérons un don monétaire au lieu d'un don de sang, car il est plus abordable, et de cette façon, la Croix-Rouge peut investir dans ce qu'ils estiment nécessaires. Abbiamo deciso allora di organizzare una giornata in cui i fans di tutto il mondo in grado possono effettuare una donazione monetaria a Croce Rossa a nome Moonlight. Proponiamo una donazione monetaria invece di una donazione di sangue, perché è più accessibile, e in questo modo, la Croce Rossa può investire in ciò che essi ritengono necessarie. In unserem spanischsprachigem Bereich (Moonligh en Español) diskutieren wir zurzeit über eine weltweite Kampagne, um die Aufmerksamkeit für Moonlight zu steigern. Wir haben uns entschieden einen Tag zu organisieren, an dem Fans rund um wie Welt - im Namen von Moonlight - für das Rote Kreuz spenden. Wir halten eine einmalige Spende für eine gute Wahl. Sie lässt sich einfacher organisieren als eine weltweite Blutspende-Mobil-Aktion. Eine Spende kann das Rote Kreuz dort einsetzen, wo es am notwendigsten ist. Die Spende kann landes- oder regionsabhängig in entsprechender Form geschehen - Telefon, Internet oder das Ortsbüro des Roten Kreuzes.

Wir haben Moonlights ersten Geburtstag als symbolträchtigen Tag für diese Aktion ausgewählt, den 28. September. Die Spenden sollten sich im Bereich von 50 Cent bis 50 € bewegen, die dann an das Rote Kreuz eures Landes gehen. Zu dieser Kampagne können fast alle Fans besteuern.

Wir erhoffen uns, dass Moonlight durch die umfassende Natur der Kampagne die Aufmerksamkeit der Medien auf sich zieht. Mit der weltweiten und simultanen Spendenaktion ist dies sicherlich wahrscheinlicher, als wäre dies Aktion nur lokal begrenzt. Vergleicht es mit einer weltweiten, gleichzeitigen Kino-Premiere eines Filmes.
Genau deshalb ist es wichtig, dass sich alle an das oben genannte Datum halten.

Sobald wir Resultate unserer Kampagne haben, dass heißt wenn wir wissen wie erfolgreich die Aktion war, werden wir diese Infos an einige, wichtige Moonlight-Beteiligte schicken: Nina Tassler, Joel Silver, CBS, WBTV.

Wir arbeiten daran noch weitere Länder ins Boot zu holen. Im Moment haben wir positive Rückmeldungen aus folgenden Ländern erhalten: Italien, Spanien, Deutschland, Groß Britannien, Australien und Latein Amerika.
