The Vampire Genre #1 ~ What else do you like/recommend?

Hey! I was thinking about this thread where we could all post what other vampire related things we watch, read, etc. Maybe we can also recommend each other books and movies.

What do you guys think?

Personally, my obsession with vampires started last year, around this time. Some people kept talking about Blue Bloods and how that was such a great book. And I started to get interested and found many other books that had the vampire element in them. So, I began reading and reading and I just became hooked on the adult vampire books. My favourite to date is still The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward. And I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

As far as movies go, I don't know that many vampire movies, and I can't say I have a favorite. I love Interview With The Vampire, but I didn't enjoy it as much, once I had read the book. I still have the 3 other books in the Vampire Chronicles to read.

Great thread Y!

I have always been interested in the genre. It started with Buffy, then Angel and seeing Interview with a vampire.

After reading a post in Susi's lj about Twilight or Blue Bloods, I got into reading books as well. Yvonne reccommended The Black Dagger Brotherhood and I love it. I am reading it for the second time now

I also love the movie Van Helsing, I have seen it many times now

I've only seen Van Helsing once, I think. But I will definitely watch it again. Hugh is hot.

I watched that movie when I wasn't in a Vampire mood and I thought it was weird.. but Hugh was worth watching it for.

Me too!! That's why I wanna see it again.

Who here has read the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice? I just started the second book: The Vampire Lestat, and I like it so far.

Nope I don't have them.

I think I told this somewhere before, but I used to watch a German show many, many moons ago. It was about a little boy who befriended two little vampires. I loved watching that

I started getting into vampires with Buffy, then I started watching random vampires movies and all that. Right now my vampire obsession (other than Moonlight, of course ) is the Twilight series.

I've heard good things about Blood Ties too... considering to watch that show.
