Since there is no official word on a second season, this is allowed, I suppose. As soon as they start filming again, this will be closed. And I just really am dying to discuss the spoilers!

Spoilers so far from producer Harry Werksman:

Humans sent the list of vampires to Talbot. These humans belong to a group called the Legion that has been around as long as vampires have been around (kind of like the Watchers in Highlander, but more deadly). They see their job as keeping the vampire population manageable, so whenever vampire populations threaten to grow too large (by whatever their definition of too large is), they will cull the flock. Besides the French Revolution, other famous historical events were also really vampire cullings.
The theme of season two would be "vampire apocalypse" -- the Legion has decided that there are way too many vampires in LA and has marked Mick, Josef and others for a culling. The human/vampire relationship would become an us vs. them that forces Mick to choose sides. Lance and Coraline would be back. Mick may not want anything to do with Lance and Coraline but "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" -- if Mick isn't on Lance's side, he would essentially be saying that he's on the Legion's side, which of course would be suicidal.
Officially DEAD: Ryder, Lt.Carl, and ..brace yourselves...Sarah Whitley. Yep he said they are all done, though wouldn't reveal how they ended up gone...
Simone, Josef's freshie, was to be a big part of the season, however the actress playing her failed to mention she's pregnant, so they're not sure about what to do with that.
Beth IS indeed part of the French Royal bloodline and she does hold the key to the cure which is why she was kidnapped. He also said that because of this Beth CAN NOT be turned. Whether that means she can't because it wouldn't work or it can't because she would die was left up in the air...

So, Beth is actually related to Coraline?? And her blood holds the key to the cure. So, she can't be turned, because her blood is the cure??

And I can't believe Lt. Carl is dead!

The Legion sounds interesting! And that would be a very interesting battle between the vamps and the humans!

I don't like the fact you started this thread, because now I've read the spoiler (speculations)

The cure makes a vampire human angain, so if Beth's blood is the cure. It makes sense that she can't be turned

Maybe Coraline knew Beth was related to her and that is why she chose her. If it was just for the fact that she was related or that she holds the cure to the vampirisme...

Lt. Carl dead? We haven't seen him in a while

I just hope that he is still alive in the beginning of season 2...

So there are more humans who know about the vampires. I find that very interesting as well. Maybe Talbot is one of them

Well, obviously he isn't or he wouldn't have gotten the list from the Legion. And now he will have to figure out what all those names have in common.

I am really curious how Coraline will come back. At least I am thrilled she is still alive!

I think he can be one of those humans. Looking back he didn't seem to shocked when he found those pictures and maybe he just wanted the list to see if Mick (and Josef) where on it...

Yeah, I had my doubts, but I guess it would only be a matter of time before people would start posting the spoilers in other threads and I wanted to keep it contained to one thread.

And I really wanna discuss them.

So if Beth bloods is the cure..... can she cure mick? but didnt he feed off of her in the desert??? that didnt work

Im sure its deeper than that... it has to do with the cure

Very good point. Well, her blood holds the key to the cure, it's not the cure itself.

Right!
They needed a lot more then Beth's blood. Maybe when they replace the blood they used with Beth's the cure is permanent

The compound, they are using someones blood, right? Or maybe if they'll add Beth's blood instead of replacing the blood they use...
