**This episode has some of my all time favorite ML lines and scenes. Line: "I fed you!", delivered with just the right amount of indignation by Sophia. Scene: When Beth is pretending to be an escort. The men smiling, her making faces and saying "I messed up!".....priceless.

**Once again we have an ordinary, not super attractive vamp. I like the variety in this version of vampire society.

**I gather from Mick's "Someone betrayed you" that vamps aren't supposed to turn children? Was there more in there about that? If so, I missed it.

** at Mick's comments about humans and yelling. And the look on the detective's face when she realizes he hasn't been listening to her tirade.

**Everyone loves the conversation in the car about "the sex thing", but my favorite part is at the very end, when Mick lets out a long, relieved breath when the subject is changed.

**Josef's comment about Mick being a romantic sounds different in light of what we later learn he's hiding.

**LOL at the teen vamp appearing to push his fangs back when he first met Cherish. The rest of us worry about something stuck in our teeth. Vampires worry about their teeth sticking out.

**I loved the way Mick immediately knew Beth was hiding in the morgue.

MICK: Everybody's gone now. You can get up. What are you doing here?

BETH: I was just about to ask you the same thing.

MICK: No, the person hiding around the corner in the other room gets to go first.



**So now Beth is actively pursuing Mick, Mick knows it.....and Josh knows it. Heck, even Beth's co-worker knows it. Cat's out of the bag.

I've been DVR'ing all of the Moonlight series on Sci Fi right now, and rewatching. Or watching for the first time. I missed most of the early eppies. I think of the ones they've shown so far, I'd only seen Dr Feelgood. THIS was a GREAT eppy here .. and I loved Josef meeting Beth. And the way BETH found Mick at the end, and just kissed him. Simply.

Ok so I was bad. I didn't watch the episode on Friday. I was watching reruns of Supernatural and completely forgot to watch it (I blame this on Dean... guy is to charming )
Anways I do remember the episode from the last four times i saw it so here my list...

- K have to mention the music played in this episode was awsome. Absolutly love The Bravery and The Used. Couldnt help but sing to them every time LOL
-Mick and Beth bumping into each other at the doctor was awkward (but it seems Josh notices theres something between to too which i love)
-Beth leaving Mick four messages girl never lets anything go
-Beth prying info from Carl again was great. You would thing he was use to it by now
-Josef taking about Micks "happy hour" with beth
-Mick poking jokes and Josef ♥♥♥
MICK: Look, you said you could help me find the missing girl.
JOSEF: Did I?
MICK: Yes.
JOSEF: What do you think he's here for?
MICK: Your new valet?
love that line
-Josh jumping to conclusions that Mick called beth during their dinner was real annoying. Hate it when guys to that
-Mick and beth at te morgue "Wow vampires make bad liers"
-Beth's friend Marrissa and her speech about faith (at buzzwire) also real annoying.
-Beth meeting Josef for the first time was great.
-Beth acthing like an escort
-Mcik and beth looking for the vampire and can for get about her asking mick about sex with vamps Priceless
-The fight between mick and the vamp.
- The look Mick is giving to beth when the escore it returned to her family
-And who can forget the kiss between them and micks smile at the end. The first time I saw the episode with my friend we where both giving out girly laughs after seeing that

My 15 year-old loved whatever played over the vamp fight. Have to look that one up.

She was really pushy, wasn't she? God, bite the girl once, and she's all over you.

I was grinning at the morgue conversation, all the "I fed you!" and "something happened between us". Normally a conversation like that takes place after a one night stand, with the woman saying "Something happened between us!" and the man shrugging it off as "So we had sex. So what?" This time it wasn't sex, it was being chomped.

I love all the dry humor. Just wonderful!

Question: I've seen discussion about whether or not the teenaged vamp should have had acne. Some say his physical state was frozen when he was turned (age, acne, etc.); others say his vampire healing powers should have healed his acne. Thoughts?

I've actually never posted on the episode threads. So this is the first time i've actually like this.

Thats a good one and a confusing one. I think it depends on what need healing. Like bones or cuts would probably get heal b/c those are major thing (vamp can't funtion if they had a broken leg or a horrible cut of there arm).
It could also depend on the vampire as well

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that! So funny but BAD too ... that Josh just assumed the call was Mick. Very telling.

^ And yet that wasn't the only bug up his....*ahem*. Even when he found out it wasn't Mick, he was still grumpy. On the one hand, I get it--they were having a party, and for their anniversary, no less. But both he and Beth had the kind of jobs that entail dropping everything and running on a moment's notice, and I'm sure he'd had to do that to her at some point in the past year. So I was a bit surprised when he still objected so strongly to her leaving even after learning the call wasn't from Mick. Guess he knew deep down that, even if that call wasn't from Mick, the next one likely would be.

^^ Yeah he's a DA, i'm sure he's ditched Beth a couple of time. But that whole scene show that Josh is afraid that something will happen.

I love that new people are finding the show and wanting to talk about it! Moonlight may not be an Emmy worthy type of show, but I've seen every episode probably 5 times or more, I bought tons of music used, bought the DVD and bought the episodes from iTunes. I could talk about this show until I'm blue in the face...and then some. LOL It's more layered and interesting than people give it credit for.

I'm guessing that anything that happens after turning gets healed, but whatever happened before turning gets frozen at the point of turning. So if the boy had lots of acne scars when he was turned (and presumably he did because he had them in the photo, which, if I understood Mick correctly, couldn't have caught his image if he'd been a vampire at that point), the scars would stay, but there wouldn't be any new acne.

I worked for a dermatologist who dispensed some pretty fierce treatments for acne (like Acutane, which can cause birth defects), but I have to admit, vampirism is pretty extreme.

I liked this episode. It had some great moments.

• Mick's voice overs about what you want not always mattering and stuff. I really liked that.
• Him avoiding Beth
• Beth's pushiness about her feeding him in the desert
• The introduction of Rider and Beth not being able to tell if he and Josef were vampires
• Beth meeting Josef
• Beth asking Mick about the sex thing. Mick was so unconfortable
• Mick and Beth kissing. So logical that Beth was the one to initiate it

Mick was so cute while avoiding Beth in this episode. I loved how even Josh noticed that there's something happening between these two.

I especially loved Beth in this episode. She was amazing in the scene where she met Josef and I loved her pushiness about feeding him, too.

And the first kiss, aww. It was adorable. Mick expression after the kiss was priceless.
