I think this can create good tension. In the long run (meaning next season, if we get one) we know Mick and Beth will break up for some reason... It's a TV show, they can't be together. I can see Ben as Beth's shoulder  __________________

Thats a good point about one its a TV show and tension will be there. Even if McBeth get together, something will drive them apart and then they will be together again. He will be the driven force or there for her

I love the vibe I got when Beth was having lunch with Ben and she saw Mick and the other way around. I don't know if there was any jealousy in there somewhere. If I am honoust I think I would love to see some jealousy. Between Beth and Mick and some
 rivalry between Mick and Ben__________________
