Season 6 definitely had room for it. Just skip "Young Man Blues".

Maybe the Holiday Hotel could've thrown a big Halloween bash / haunted house people had to pay to be part of, and Hyde sneaked all his friends into it.

In an AU of our universe, maybe we did.

I can imagine Hyde helping Roy coming up with Halloween food that resembles eyeballs and brains, etc., for the event.

That would have been so cool! Sometimes I wonder what an AU without WB showing up would be like. Hyde would have probably just kept his hotel job or taken the job with Red at the muffler shop and felt like things were the same so maybe not as afraid of change if/when Jackie asked for more for them. Or maybe Jackie would have been more patient if she didn't see him as a store owner that could be ready for more. Ohh the possibilities.

Yeah, Hyde wouldn't have had his whole conception of his life flipped on its head. He probably would've been in a more emotionally stable place. I love W.B.'s character and the potential Angie had as a character (if only the show had focused on building her relationship with Hyde instead of with Kelso

). But I also think the retcon of Hyde's parentage was a soap-opera move, done by showrunners/writers who'd run out of ideas, to kick some life into season 7.

T7S retconned quite a bit, unfortunately.

But at least Hyde having a different biological father was in the realm of possibility.

I wonder what would've happened if Jackie had been the one to learn she had a different biological dad. Maybe it would depend on the season that happened. *goes further into soap opera territory*
