I'm glad the show paired Kitty/Jackie and Red/Hyde up during seasons 6 and 7.

I just wish they'd gotten more in-character, character developing eps like "The Acid Queen" (6x04).

I am glad they paired them up too. It really showed the parallels between the couples.

And it suggests that Jackie and Hyde's relationship will have the longevity that Red and Kitty's has.

There was never a doubt in my mind about that.

I like to think that's what the writers were trying to show too.

And the writing should've stuck with that in season 7. Could've been hilarious if Jackie and Hyde were secretly engaged but neither said anything about it. Their friends would be totally shocked: a) because Hyde got engaged so young and b) Jackie kept is a secret for so long.
